War is still fun!Follow

#1 Feb 03 2006 at 1:18 AM Rating: Good

My husband is leaving for Afghanistan tomorrow. He is going to be in an "undisclosed, remote location." Great start to the weekend!

Edit: Actually, being after midnight for me, that would be today.

On a personal note, I am quite depressed that I am not there. The whole parking lot scene with the crying wives and screaming children at 2am that I went through prior to Iraq is gut-wrenching and unpleasant, but I really hurt that I am not there for him. He has to be at the company at 5am so it would be a similar scene of depression lit by street lamps, and it really makes my stomach hurt to think about it. However, it also makes me hurt to think of him watching everyone else say goodbye, and he is alone.

And save the people from terrorists and crazy dictators. Yeah, shame on him!

But war still sucks.

Suck it up and quit ********* He is a big boy and is far more likely to make it home safe than not. Statisticly speaking it is highly improbably that he won't make it home with a full enough grip on reality to divorce your whiny complaining ***.

That, or cheat on you with someone who doesn't nag the sh;t out of him on a regular basis and try desperately to chip away at his manhood every chance she gets.

On the upside, at least you don't come around pissing and moaning about your barren womb. Rate ups 4 j00!

no, not really.

Seriously Moe. How the hell do you get your head that far up your ass? Fucking gay ass contortionist. So how many ribs did you have removed to be able to gobble your own dick like that? We all know that raging hate of yours is brought on by the TDS(tiny dick syndrome) you suffer from.

You are seriously one of the dumbest people I've ever come in contact with.
The only difference between you and the rest of the retards on this board is that you've posted 10 times the amount of idiotic posts.

Eh, I could "suck it up and quit *************** but I don't want to due to the fact that, quite frankly, the entire situation makes me angry. And I do suck it up and deal with it, I just tend to ***** about it regularly because it does happen to be a life-changing event that effects me daily. Seriously, imagine if your wife left and how it would effect you.

I would also say considering the fact that this is the second year long deployment in less than two years over the span of a marriage that hasn't even lasted 3 years yet, it is worthy of complaint. If it bothers you so much, don't click on the topic. I don't have a goal of irritating Moe, I promise.

They just don't hold wars like they used to.

<sigh>

Circa 1991, wars were held over a weekend, you had some beers, had some laughs, got paid alot, and went home after getting a good tan and killing plenty of Muslims.

Now? Sheeeeeeeeit. You got all these RoEs, press corps tagging along, and a need for body armor. You can't get a healthy glow when all covered up like that. That's messed up.

Depressing, isn't it?

I never would have signed up myself if I had known I would make it through my enlistment without ever getting to kill a muslim, or without getting paid alot. What can you do.
