Fellow Inmates,
Darling baby YoYo was born Jan 11 weighing in at a massive 8 lbs 11.5 oz (it's all in the cheeks) and at a length of 20 inches. Images available at myspace:

smack the image of the scruffy dude with the handsome hound dog to see images of the wee lass.
Fatherhood is amazing. I've been busy, so I'm not sure it is entirely sinking in, but life is good. Life is full.
Baby is doing great. Mrs. YoYo is recovering nicely. (It would have not been harder on her if the baby had been delivered via cesarian section - large baby, small woman). Baby is sleeping over four hours a streatch most nights (followed by bouts of 1-2 hours only). I am building new skill in burping, diaper changing, and putting baby to sleep.
We have a veritable horde of baby oriented gear such as the baby wipe warmer (hey: you try wiping her with a cold, wet cloth at 2:30 am and tell me it wasn't a good investment). Darn kid has more clothes then I do (although, to be fair, loads of it was free and she's growing fast and we have a good spread of ages up to a year).
Although in theory I'm on six weeks leave, in reality I'm doing lots of work. In a way, it's not so bad because I'm doing the parts of my job I love. In a way is sucks because it takes me away from my little family.
My mother in law has been a great help. You all have been an inspiration to me: every time I wish to bark at her for any annoying thing she does, I just think how much you guys would respond if I actually wrote it out here and think better of it.
Five days ago, my wife's grandmother fell over in her house and now she's living with us as well: thus we are now running Hotel YoYo :) Between the baby, the grandmother (who is doing surprisingly well thank Bob) and our pets, we sort of have the full three ring circus going. On the upside, at least we're getting full use of this big house we bought, and there are actually enough people here to start using up all the oranges off the trees in the yard.
And to those not intereseted in such matters, please excuse the interruption.
