to show your SO that you really do love them! The other 364 days mean squat. So what do you have planned?

I just picked up a box of Scooby Valentines, 14 Gift Bags, 3 bags of traditional VDay candy and 14 Atkin bars (the girlfriend is still doing low carb) The GF will awake everyday to a new bag filled with a healthy atkins bar, gobs of sugary confections and a Valentine. Throughout the next 14 days I will go after work and pick up more fun thoughtful stuff and add them accordingly.

I have to admit, Im pretty proud of myself for thinking this one up.

So what are you planning for the 14th then? It better be big to have such a lead up!

I will not allow myself to be brainwashed by the marketing industry in this country. This holiday has been commercialized so that greeting card, candy, jewelry, and flower companies have something to make money off of and I will not fall into their evil trap.

That and I'm currently single, so I have no one to buy that crap for.

I don't think it's what's he's planning to give to her, but what she will give to him. Smiley: jester

I expect to get breakfast (in bed) on the morning of the 14th.

For the 14th, I will only beat her twice.

Taking time off from work to fly up to her for one. There's a nice dinner planned, roses will be everywhere. As a start at least.

The OCD valentine...
Collect all the rose petals and try to associate them with the bare buds from whence they came. Nice work, Mr. Thoughtful.

Are you serious? The SO and I are boycotting this day of retail celebration. I’ve never been a fan of V-day, and never will be. Plus, we are saving money for a trip to Hawaii this summer, and can’t justify spending money on each other for no significant reason at all.

The Feast of Saint Valentine shall be a week-long celebration of romance at Maison Jophiel. We have both taken the week off and, as I said a few months back, we will be going to Las Vegas on the company's dime. Although we've mutually agreed that our money will be better spent enjoying our vacation than on material trinkets, we've also decided to splurge on some evening finery at one of the local vendors of ladies' romantic apparel.

I predict good times.

The wife and I will be going down to Savannah, GA for the weekend. We've got ourselves a room in the heart of downtown. We'll be taking a couple tours and eating at Paula Dean's resturaunt, The Lady and Sons.

Nice job on the scooby valentines, Sora. You just started this thread to congratulate yourself, didn't you.

Funny ... been there, done that.

Ok ... before I give too much of my lovelife away, I should clairify that I do things for her on non signifigant days. I just don't do those things when we're saving for a costly trip.

Smiley: lol Curses, foiled again! My plans of making her so braindead from the ordeal of petal association so that she'll be an easy lay have failed!

You say that, but with my luck the SO will figure out how to use a computer and drop in to say hi.
