On a ziggurat beset by evil, a world of changing colors and a place where spinning discs could fly, there was one willing to risk it all...

Orlando Bloom...
Jeremy Irons...
Charlize Theron in...

Q*Bert: the Movie

I'd watch it

What was that old arcade game where you had to climb buildings? Was it just Climber, or something like that?

Anyway, that would make a sweet movie. /nod

Pac-man the movie!

With nude love scenes with Ms. Pac-man. You know where she takes off her bow. Smiley: inlove

Gee, maybe you're confusing it with that one arcade game where you shoot things. You know... the one where you shoot things?

Smiley: dubious

How about a movie based off that one E.T. game for the Atari?

It would never work.

Unless the alien could somehow make a kids bike fly, that would be sweet.

No, no, no...

And you guys are supposed to be geeks. Smiley: oyvey

The game had two "handles" that you used to simulate climbing up skyscrapers, while people closed windows on your fingers, or threw flower pots on your head to try and knock you off. The only objective in the game was to get to the top of the building.

I know I'm older than most all of you, but no one remembers this game?

Smiley: motz I swear to gods that I'm going to eviscerate the next person bad mouthing FF:TSW because they felt it was supposed to be based on the games.

"OMGZ, WHERE WAS CLOUDZ?! I WANT MY SEPHIROTH CLONE!!!"

Even if the movie didn't tie into any of the other FF's, (a moot point since only X-2 is a true sequel to any of the original story lines) the visuals, the acting, and the story itself were quite good, and if it weren't for idiot FFVII fan boys slamming it because it wasn't what they (the fan boys) hyped it up to be, arguably (but IMHO) it would have done considerably better.

Mortal Kombat I agree on, there's no way you can make a movie on something that has such little plot to begin with.

And /slap for the comment about TMNT.
The first one was awesome. The sequels, not so much (ok, honestly they sucked. Putting anti-mutant formula in donuts?!). But the first one, which was based on the comics, was very well done, in acting, choreography, and the props/suits.

The movie sucked Smiley: goat ***. It had nothing to do with Final Fantasy. It didn't even have a sword or a spell.

Hey, I like Mortal Kombat. It had good fight scenes, and they knew that it was cheesy. I also like TMNT. But it's true that the sequels to both sucked ***.

To the OP about Bloodrayne.. Lets just be honest you went and saw the movie for Kristianna Loken and the other girl's vampire/***** sex scene that's supposedly in it. Anything that Uwe Boll (the director) touches is immediately turned to steaming piles of horse shit. IE: House of The Dead, After Dark, well hell here's his list of movies and also upcoming, read in horror and sadness:

And, yet, Resident Evil II = ***.

You had high expectations after Anderson pooped on RE1?

Yes it's been done, it's called King Kong vs Godzilla..Had an USA version where Kong won, and a Japanese version where Godzilla won.

This movie sucked ***, it was a 2hr videogame that I couldn't find the pause button to get my money back. Here's to praying that FF7:AC is decent.

Well, it did have 100% more chicks and about a gajillion percent more zombies.

Yet, they both still sucked.

If you want to hate a movie because of it's own merits, I have no qualm with that, as everybody is entitled to their own opinions- I just have issues with the twats who hate on FF:TSW because it was nothing like the games that Square had made before that.

and FF:AC is going to be like watching an extra long cutscene from the end of VII, I'm afraid. That's really all it boils down to, very little original material to it.

lots of bare tits, and borderline softcore **** to boot. the only 5 minute section in the film that held any interest at all.

im guessing **** films are where he found the rest of the actors also. it was almost like watching one without the sex.

I've seen Advent Children, and if you liked the game then the first notes of music will take you back. It was more of a nostalgia trip for me than anything else... seeing old favorites in action.

And I don't care if she is a cartoon... Tifa has big jugs.
