It works as advertised.

For over half a century someone has snuck into the locked graveyard to place tribute upon Poe's headstone. As the article notes, the tradition has spanned multiple caretakers.

The guy quoted in the article, Jerome, first allowed spectators to watch a few years ago. He was surprised when they started cat-calling the Visitor and throwing things. He was quoted back then as saying he would ban spectators from future events because of their disrespect, but apparently they don't really care about anything short of police presence.

I've known about it for a long time. This is the first I've heard of disrespectful spectators though. It never ceases to amaze me how assinine some people can be.

I think it has to do with a lesson I learned while working retail. The general public is comprised of a bunch of as[/b]sholes.
