if the governments job has nothing to do with the well being of the people who created it.....what is its purpose?

Thank Bob we live in a Republic where the voice of the majority makes the decision.

Go ahead and have your tea party. We'll send snipers to deal with the terroristic activity.

We need a culling. Katrina was a good start. What natural disaster can we get to hit Detroit and Atlanta?

The last culling we had (that really even matters) was in WWII and we see how well that turned out. [That is Godwin's Law, me making an analogy to Hitler. My "slippery slope" was dictionary style.]

I know nothing about your past, nor does it make a difference to me. I am curious though, when you were on that side of the spectrum, did you hate yourself for being poor?

That is their JOB. They exist for no other reason than Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Ring a bell? Perhaps a big one, near Independence Hall?

The Preamble to the US Constitution wrote:
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Please note that General Welfare does not refer to the blatant misappropriation and reapportioning of wealth to the bottom of the barrel. There is no justice in stealing the hard earned gains of one man and doling them out to lazy or unfortunates who made **** poor decisions with their life. Domestic tranquility will only be lessened if I have to start shooting people when the riots start.

I know what Godwin's law is, you insipid little liberal twit. My query re: an adendum to it was in reference to your use, in any fashion, of slippery slope, which is as overused, misused and misunderstood platitude in recorded history. And WWII wasn't a culling, it was a poorly planned attempt at ridding a society of it's burden. We will let nature do it so we can't be held liable.

Hence my inclusion of "fail to realize", dumbass. And no, I didn't hate myself. I bettered myself.

Aside from the obvious stupidity, there's an additional problem with this point. That is, the "culling" to which you refer had absolutely fuckall to do with people at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder. They were middle- to upper-middle class, for the most part.

Your "slippery slope" is your forehead, I suspect.
