1st Landing on the Moon. Hoax or not?Follow

#1 Jan 15 2006 at 8:45 PM Rating: Default
Im getting quite annoyed by people in cafes and other meaningless-conversation locations telling me the landing on the moon was a hoax.

They cloud my brain with all sorts of tacky Discovery channel arguments which I cant dispute because they sound fairly logical. (thats the grave danger with all those doubtfull Discovery documentarys)

Can someone help me find arguments against this urban legend stating that it was a hoax? Good arguments underlining the trueth of this complot are welcome too offcourse so I can prepare myself for those ones.

Help me out here.

Ignatowski a.k.a. Mythbuster wannabe

P.S. Im withholding top secret Nasa documents for now because I would otherwise maybe abuse the creative process in this thread.

Well the Moon Landing seems real but upon closer inspection we see that it was fake with a simple zoom.

Of course it was a hoax. Funded and produced by the US government, directed by Kubrick. 2001: A Space Odyssey was just a practice run.

Dont forget all those samples we brought back are just stage props~

Most people who think we didn't land on the moon need a good slapping. Their arguments are so weak and when you do challenge them they either grasp at straws or act like 10 year olds when they realize they're wrong.

We can put people in space. We can grab the stars and bring back samples. We can land probes on far away planets. Yet we cant land on the moon, eh.

Morons.

People who believe in the hoax are mostly not even aware of the fact there were quite a few more of those landings. (6 of them in total I believe, correct me if im wrong)
If you ask them if they were all a hoax, their faces become red because they havent given this any thought due to lack of information.

Never underestimate people’s capacity for great intelligence or great stupidity. It still amazes me that people still think this insanity is true. Civil servants cannot even successfully hide little things like Iran contra, nor Watergate, do you actually think they could successfully pull off a cover up like that. Let alone make a fake movie about a moon landing correct in physics and science.

Uh no. No we can't. We barely have gathered data on the outer planets out our solar system, let alone send a prob to another. And to my knowledge we have yet to "sample" out own Sun.

Well, then you can swallow it, and it'll all dissolve, see... and the moonbeams would shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair... am I talking too much?

We did scoop up some nifty comet bits, though with the recently recovered Stardust probe. Per article on CNN:

The canister is believed to hold about a million tiny comet and interstellar dust particles. They are thought to be pristine leftovers from the formation of the solar system about 4.5 billion years ago. Some samples could be even older than the sun.

By stars I meant objects in space. It was a figure of speech..

Yes, we brought back samples of a comet. We also sent out a probe to catch solar wind atoms but it's parachute failed to deploy and it crashed into the ground when it came back to earth. Which is a bummer..

We have sent plenty of probes to other planets and some are even on thier way outside our solar systen. We've sent plenty to mars. Some are being launched right now that will be on thier way to pluto and other outer planets.
