Sorry to hear about this Neph.

I can kind of understand what shes going through, I lost a grandfather figure recently. I never had any grandfathers because they all died before i was born except for one who lived in a different city(who died when i was 10). The guy who was like a grandfather to me died in October(Canadian thanksgiving weekend actually). I cried...I never cry...until that point, I hadn't cried in almost 5 years. Like people have said a few times in this thread, losing a loved one is hard but is easier when someone is there for you. Just be there for her. Don't try to make things better, that'll only make it worse, just go with her through the griving process.

All you can do is be there for her.

At this time her family will seem positively evil.

It matters not if they were on good terms with him. They all had relationships with him in thier own way. Each will feel that thier own relationship was more intimate.

I mention this because I don't think I would want my pregnant wife getting angry over foolish things while she is already distraught. Try and downplay any painful drama that family brings forth. Measured calm is your goal. If that can't be established, Quietly wisk her out of the room until cooler heads can prevail.

One thing is certain. This will make your relationship stronger.

Sorry for your loss.
