Walmart Law in Md.

The story itself is fairly humorous, but I found myself actually giggling over this bit:

Quote:
Wal-Mart spokeswoman Mia Masten said Thursday that the bill "could be the beginning of a slippery slope."

Me not good at linky today.

We are expecting more veto's during the next week. The Dems here are not going to let a Republican Govenor have his way in an election year. Since I felt all the cuts made to Medicaid in MD over the last 3 years, anything to lighten the load is ok with me.

If you want some more fun, you should watch the Gov and the Mayor of Baltimore go at each other, as well as Montgomery County's Ex.

Going to be a interesting year here.

In Pennsylvania, a judge this week approved a class-action lawsuit by employees who say the company pressured them to work off the clock. Last month, a California jury awarded workers $172 million for illegally denied lunch breaks, and Wal-Mart settled a similar Colorado case for $50 million.

The company is appealing the California verdict and may pursue an appeal of the class-action certification in Philadelphia.

Something Wal-mart this way comes.
