Somtimes bands have free MP3 downloads on their websites.

if you like H.E.D.pe or 311, you're IN.

well, cant see giving napster 14 bucks a month, could get satilite radio for that. plenty of sites that offer it at 10 cents to 50 sents a song, but like livewire, it is not very user friendly, and being it is for my wife, and not me, it needs to be legal AND user friendly.

personally, i would toss it and buy a CD when i really wanted one. i dont even have a cell phone, nor want one.

i am happy with the zen, or more to the point, happy with not buying an ipod. the whole registraition thing is borderline propriatary softwear. you cant even transfer from ipod to ipod unless they are both regestered to you. im the kind of person who still usses windows 98 se because i refuse to have the softwear i paid for be limited in how i choose to use it, or where i choose to use it.

will keep looking i guess.

With most new P2P networking programs mushrooming quite you should be aware of the fact that there has to be a legal suit against the developers where to try to criminalize the program.

Using P2P programs that are new gives you a slight advantage in the grey field of "semi-legal" activities. Im not saying you are not commiting illegal acts but untill there is a ruling of a judge in the case of that particular P2P program, the program itself is not illegal.

Somehow I think this answer will not be satisfying to you.
