This guy was one of the good ones. He used to come buy my work. He was here just a week before he was killed.

He used to check up on a lady nearby, several times a week, who he had the sad responsibility to inform that her son had been shot. Found out today that the guy who shot him was the same guy who shot this lady’s kid.

I’m watching about a dozen cops right now blocking traffic for the funeral procession.

It’s sad when a truly good man gets gunned down.

Indeed it is.

My absolute condolences, as insignificant as they may be.

Meanwhile, the man accused of shooting and killing Officer May is being held without bail.

Alberto Alvarez was arraigned Tuesday on murder charges. If convicted, he could be sent to life in prison or sentenced to death

I hope Alberto gets to watch the procession on TV and see the enormity of what he has done. I am sure his procession will be a lonely one.

Ya, the procession for Officer May was just awe inspiring. There were about 120 motorcycle cops, preceding the hurse and limos for the family. The limos were followed by maybe 100 police cars, then maybe another 60 or so more motorcycle cops, then ambulances and fire trucks. The blocked of the freeway for the procession and the officers that were blocking the road for the procession to get on the freeway, saluted as the hurse went by. There were officers from all over California in the procession.

I'm pretty sure Alberto is not having a good time in custody. The guy shot May, tried to get away, but couldn't get over a fence, then went back to May and shot him in the face.

He took his frustrations out on May's face, with a bullet. Yeah thats a real decent human being.

But does he deserve to die? That's really where this conversation has to go.

Of course he deserves to die. We don't execute enough criminals. Costs a lot to house a criminal for life, but rope is cheap and reuseable.

I think this man deserves to be honored, and from reading the story, he seemed like a very kind, caring generous human being.

But Fucking Christ!! That's most likely thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars of your taxes at work. Whoever is in charge will probably be receiving some angry letters. Smiley: laugh
