A Serious Question to ConservativesFollow

I have been wondering, since the attitude of most Republican conservatives reflects the idea that their leaders are infallible and can do no wrong--

What if you were given the choice to give any (currently living and standing among us as a human being) man or woman a lifetime term in office as president, and granted absolute power over all decisions made in this country... or to leave things the way they are now, and deal with elections with the risk of opposition to your ideals with people like John Kerry or Hilary Clinton, and Democrat opposition in the courts blocking Republicans from doing whatever they want?

In other words, if you could make George Bush the king of the United States of America, and do away with democracy, would you do it?

Think carefully before you answer. Doing so would mean that there would be no more "liberals" and other people who don't agree with everything you say, who of course you absolutely despise. But it would also mean that democracy in the United States would cease, and all choices we face as a country would be solely in his hands.

What say you conservatives? Do you really believe that your leaders are always right? Do the "strong Christian values" they SAY they have hold more value to you than democracy itself?

Talk to any hardcore Bush supporter that still exist. They'll give you all the proof you need.

No I would not choose to have our current president the goober, or anyone down the road elected to an indefinate term. While I may be a Rep. I also value that the democrats do bring great things to the table every so often. Plus I enjoy those whol challenge the leader with hardcore facts, thus causing the leader to blatantly lie OR step up and kick things up a nothc in the right direction. While I'm not deeply political, I prefer having a choice every few years versus indefinately being stuck with a potential moron till they die or step down.

I follow a conservative philosophy. I am registered unaffiliated, and shall remain so for as long as the main political parties of the United States of America continue to appoint useless candidates. I have no interest in participating in the primaries, so worthless are the options.

I like my country quite a bit, and I'm even fond of our attempts at running a democratic republic. I am usually quite disappointed by our leadership.

I wouldn't scrap the Vote under any circumstances; ossification of leadership leads to the eventual death of any organization. When you let us remove our leaders every four or eight years, we have a chance to do better next time. When open revolt and exile are our only hope for change*, things get ugly fast.

Your premise is flawed, and there for your subsequent argument can not be viewed as anything but. That being said, ...

The choice is fundamentally opposed to core beliefs of the Republican Party, and so ridiculous in nature as to be absurd.

This, however, is the silliest part of your post, mostly because you seem to be laboring under the idea that you live in a democracy. I would suggest that you level up your PoliSci before attempting to troll again. It will help your understanding of, and participation in, the discourse if you get a firmer grasp on some of the fundamental principles behind the argument.
