why are they still waiting on getting supplies? simple NO ******* INFRASTRUCTURE.
The entire
point of humanitarian aid in these places is to assist people with no infrastructure be it from natural disaster, civil war or whatever. If they all had fresh running water, sanitation, electricity and health services, they really wouldn't be having a disease problem that required humanitarian aid.
Though I suppose the Red Cross could save a bit of money by telling people in a crisis situation that they'll be around once the lights are on, the roads repaired and there's a Holiday Inn with crisp linen for them to stay at
