Do you have a vanity plate? What does it say? What would it say if you had one?

My vanity plate.

Right, like I'd have my make-believe name on my license plate.

Here it is!

Mine is

SAOIRSE
{Pronounced Seer-Sha}

Gaelic for "Freedom".

believe it or not, another person in Maryland had beat me to it, so I had to replace one of the letters with a number, some I'm 1337 too!

I once saw a BMW with the license plate "GNOSTIC" on it.

I wouldn't have guessed the pursuit of spiritual wisdom and reverence of the Pistis Sophia could be so profitable.

my favorites have been a Beetle with "FEATURE" and a yellow mini cooper with "ZERGLNG"

What I don't get is nonsense vanity plates that I'm sure mean something to the owner, but is gibberish to everyone else.. stuff like "H9BO4" or "PO7QR" or something, that's clearly a vanity plate (different letter placement than normal plates) but might as well be random letters.

Smiley: nod

I often see a mini-truck on my drive home from work with the plate "WIZZY" and I wonder if it's an mmo'er.

I agree that Joel was a better invention guy. Mike has his charm as well. I much preferred Dr. F & Frank to Pearl as well...

I'm hoping you're just trying to be silly, but that's not my plate. Just a comment on the MST3K deal. No vanity plates for me.

Best one I've seen was a pic somewhere of a FL plate. Wan't vanity, but it was still good. A55 RGY. What made it perfect was the nice big picture of an orange in between the two groups of characters. IIRC it was a company car, too.

I saw the post and thought of that song, then saw the OP post. And now I have this going round and round in my head.

"I bet you think this plate is about you, don't you?"

Sad eh? Smiley: rolleyes

I would not mind one, I looked at prices though, far too much money to spend on a license plate.

It might have actually been a vanity plate. When I lived in Florida I saw someone that used the design in the middle of the plate to spell 'NOLES'. Their plate was actually 'N LES' but the Seminole logo formed the O for them.

Los Angeles must be the capital of vain plates. Favorites ones I remember:

CBMRGO (on a BMW of course)

JETZVET (on a Corvette of course)

I8ROADS (Hummer)

And my most favorite one:

CATCHME (I want to say it was a Ferrari, but I don't know)

See, that's why you yanquis are so fatuous.

Here in the UK there's no flexibility:- Your license plate is your date of birth, your social security number, and your height in millimetres.

Mine's "1875-007-6713"

So help me out here?

I always thought BMW stood for "Black Man's Wheels" but my probation officer tells me it's "Break My Windows"

Which?

That makes sense! I couldn't help but see the "MR" as "Mr." and not matter how hard i tried it kept coming out as "CB Mr. Go" which made no sense at all.
