So I looked at this page and it's actually pretty funny, in a rather sad, feeble way. It says, right next to the Fox News icon in the upper left corner "Fair and Balanced". (I clicked on it and it's not a link, so I assume it is not one of their shows or anything specific, just an overall general claim about Fox News?)

Do you actually believe Fox News is fair and balanced? If not, can you actually take the rest of the site seriously?

I would personally start to worry if my news sources started saying how fair and impartial they were, rather like if my groceries had the ingredient lists removed and replaced with a vague assurance that everything inside was "healthy and yummy".

My homepage is Google News.

And no, I wouldn't describe it as fair and balanced. I rather like to decide that myself on a case by case basis.

Set automatically when I setup DSL, see no reason to change it.

The whole rason the "fair and balanced" bit plays so well is that most media obviously leans the other way. It's not that Fox is fair and balanced, by any means. Fox obviously leans right, regardless of what anyone tries to say. But the existence of Fox as a news source is valuable because it helps establish the middle ground that is somewhat related to to truth.

You can't believe the news. Like every piece of information another person provides to you, one must review and analyze it for what you're willing to believe...

And this is why my homepage is FoxNews.com as well. At least, it is at home. At work, it is google, for the reason stated multiple times above: Quick load time, good for when the boss comes around.

Edit: I do not know where I read it, but there was a study conducted that shows CNN and other left-leaning news outlets have begun taking a slightly more centrist view since Fox News aired. I think it is in part because they are losing a ton of viewership to Fox.

Right now I have ogame as home page since before I went into vacation mode, it was good way to make me check on my fleets and planets before I delve into reading threads here and over on Angst ogame site.

If I do decide to stop playing ogame, I will most likely go back to having the Asylum as my home page again.

Over the years I gone from such homepages as my yahoo and The NY Times or Washington Post or my guild home pages. When I was allow to post over on a Fibromyalgia site, it was my home page too, but one cn only read posts about how sick follks are before getting depress.

The extra space after the first "FUCKING DIE" is really bothering me. It throws the whole thing out of of whack.

If this was consciously done to bother fastidious folks like myself, then 'sigh' okay. If it was just accidental, however, could you fix it please?

At work: Allakhazam's main page to the MMORPG-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named.

At home: Google. Fast, neat looking, and always reliable.

I mostly love it for it's simplicity. All I want is a search engine...not all that crap sites like Yahoo have.
