I also hate wrapping presents.

I was in a good mood. I was done my shopping, I was home, I got myself a new book, I called my family had a good chat, I got to play WoW got lvl 27 (race to 60 with Neph's brother). My girlfriend took advantage of my un-holiday spirit and gave me the choice of a christmas movie or a girlie movie knowing that there was no way I was going with the christmas movie.

Then I went to wrap presents and I had the urge to just give them to people unwrapped in the bag from the store I got them at.

Good stuff:
# baking is not torture due to the climate. we do gingerbread men 'cause they're easy

# a good time of year to clean out the closets because the garbage guys are used to and wont complain about extra junk

# people are giving away their old stuff cause they got this year's new and improved one
# if you live in an university town the streets are trafficless

# after xmas sales

# vacation time at a time of year when you don't have to mow the lawn

# people are a bit less rude than other times

Where did you get that?

i hate what people do to Christmas, but i doi not hate Christmas.

it is the day we set aside to give priase to the living Jesus sent to us to give us hope, morals, life beyond just existing.

how could anyone hate that?

it is not Christmas that is tainted. it is man. so hate man, not Christmas.

Merry Christmas. i hope all of you, even varus, have a wonderfull new year. the Birth of Christ is our true new year. it is the time we were given a chance to live as oppoosed to just exist. a beginning for us. may your new begining be blessed.

Unlike most of the posters on this thread, my Christmas has been pretty okey dokey so far......started with a tussle beneath the covers with my beautiful wife, then got to open cool stuff that I never would have bought myself.....getting ready to go out and get tanked at the in laws house......maybe get another go 'round on my favorite ride a little later ( providing I'm not too drunk to f@#% ) Hope everybody has an equally good one......Merry Christmas To All, Have a Helluva Night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not? Good Lord, you like making life difficult. This guy I know spends every Christmas alone, for many of the reasons listed by you. One Christmas he just decided not to do it anymore. At first we felt sorry for him because he's just a generally unhappy individual and we worried about him, but now we barely spare him a thought. He goes on trips or spends it alone, and no one's upset. He's happier doing what he wants, and it's $50 no one is spending. Fantastic.

You know what I hate? People who whine about shit they don't need to worry about. If you hate sucking it up and celebrating Christmas, quit it. Use your famous surliness to tell anyone who guilts you to STFU and end of story.

Oh, and Merry Christmas, you conformist jellyfish.

They said there'll be snow at Christmas
They said there'll be peace on Earth
But instead it just kept on raining
A veil of tears for the virgin birth
I remember one Christmas morning
A winter's light and a distant choir
And the peal of a bell and that Christmas tree smell
And their eyes full of tinsel and fire

They sold me a dream of Christmas
They sold me a Silent Night
And they told me a fairy story
'Till I believed in the Israelite
And I believed in Father Christmas
And I looked at the sky with excited eyes
'Till I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn
And I saw him and through his disguise

I wish you a hopeful Christmas
I wish you a brave New Year
All anguish, pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear
They said there'll be snow at Christmas
They said there'll be peace on Earth
Hallelujah! Noel! Be it Heaven or Hell
The Christmas we get, we deserve

Maybe the bellringers at the doors put a spell on me. Or maybe its due to the fact I do my last minute shopping at stores that say open 24 hrs, not many ppl to involve with. And I did say a bit. Sheesh what is this the Spanish Inquisition?
