Click the link to look at the picture. Something tells me that if I came across a fish that had this bad a deformity, that I might think twice before eating it. Not this guy...

Quote:
LINCOLN, Neb. - This fish didn't have a chance. A rainbow trout pulled out of Holmes Lake last weekend had double the chance to get hooked: It had two mouths.

Clarence Olberding, 57, wasn't just telling a fisherman's fib when he called over another angler to look at the two-mouthed trout. It weighed in at about a pound.

"I reached down and grabbed it to take the hook out, and that's when I noticed that the hook was in the upper mouth and there was another jaw protruding out below," said Olberding.

He said in his 40 years of fishing, he's never seen anything like it.

Don Gabelhouse, head of the fisheries division of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, said a two-mouthed fish was new to him, too.

"It's probably a genetic deformity," he said. "I don't think there's anything wrong with it."

The second mouth didn't appear to be functional, Olberding said. He has plans for the fish, which don't included mounting.

"I'm going to smoke it up and eat it," he said.

Meh, that's a normal fish where I live. If it only had one mouth, then there would be cause to worry.

Pfft everyone knows fish around nuclear power plants don't have 2 mouths. They have 3 eyes.

That's the great part: they're already cooked. Spoon yourself a heaping helping of Yellowcake UF6 instead of mashed 'taters, and you're set!

Ya sure, why not just eat it. I'm sure he will catch plenty of other two mouthed fish for mounting.

If a grilled cheese picture nets thousands on ebay I wonder what a two mouthed fish would go for?

It's not the mouth of jesus or anything.

It's just a freaky second mouth. I could see it catching a premium if it was a two-mouthed hooker or something, but not a fish.

I'm sure the first thing out of the fisherman's mouth was "Come on over here Cletus, this one's got 2 purdy mouths. We can play at the same time!"

It was more like this: "Cletus! Jethro can take a break and catch his bref! This one has two purdy moufes!!"

Sorry, couldn't bring myself to do it.

On the other hand I'm drinking day old coffee right now, and seriously debating whether or not to continue. I'm a bit squeemish these day.

Heh, reminds me of the Simpsons. I don't see why one wouldn't eat the fish. It looks like a natural genetic defect rather then something caused by pollution. It’s not like the fish was pulled a lake near Chernobyl.

Honestly I don't think I would kill it. I think I would keep it alive, and pass myself off as a mad scientist bent on creating a super species of killer fish.
