I have recieved sex education at school off and on since the 6th grade. Every time, our parents had a to sign a form stating whether or not we were allowed to participate. There were always six or seven kids who were lead into another room to watch Aladdin because there parents were opposed to sex education for one reason or another.
One boring Tuesday night, a college friend of mine was to attend an event called "Sex in the Dark" hosted by her church. She was a embarrased and wanted me to come with. The idea was that everyone was put into a completely dark room where they could ask questions freely since no one knew who was asking what question. A "certified expert" was there to answer the questions. To be honest, she answered the questions without putting to much of christian spin on it.
The reason for this post is that it makes a pretty good argument for mandatory sex education in schools since alot of the questions asked were things I learned in seventh grade. All of the following questions were asked by college students.
Is it true you can't get pregnant the first time you have sex?
Is it true you can get pregnant from kissing?
Can you get pregnant from oral/**** sex?
Can you get pregnant from *************
Will ************ make you impotent?
Will ************ make you blind?
Will eating fish make you more attractive?
Is a hymen poisonous?
Will the baby die if you have sex while you are pregnant?
Will you go to hell for having **** sex?
If you get pregnant, but you get married as soon as you find out is that okay?
Is it bad if my dog catches me having sex with my wife?
Does the morning-after-pill work?(The "expert" said that there was no such pill.)
