I'm going out to do my shopping now.

I'm not looking forward to it.

Tell me you want the moon, at least then I can formulate a plan, a process, and begin taking steps to accomplish a clear cut goal, instead of standing petrified in the middle of the mall, jaw agape like a lost monkey.

I told my husband exactly what I wanted and he snorted and called my gift wish "weak." So actually for this year I hope he does stand around petrified in the middle of the mall trying to remember what I asked for Christmas.

And my wish was a very simple wish. It was not jewelry, it was not a car, it was not clothes (he knows better not to go there). It costs less than $50 and it's already boxed so he didn't even have to really wrap it if he didn't want to.

Am I the only one who's got the holiday spirit this year? A lot of it had to do with reclaiming Yule. I also keep my gift recipient list brutally short. I actually got some ideas of what to get people that I think they'll like. No gifts required me to go to a shopping mall. The last items will get wrapped tonight, the candles have been burning in the yule log for 3 nights and I'm feeling pretty ready.

I ordered my bf's gift online, and it doesn't look like it's gonna make it either :=( So at least you're not alone, Nexa.

Does this mean I should get him one to open on christmas eve? >.>

Don't sweat it.

Late gifts are always wonderful surprises. If it's a good gift, they won't care when it came.

Obviously not one of those "late gifts" to the Asylum.

When it's a late gift you can always send them a card with a picture of what they would be getting.

Just got back from finishing completely all of my shopping. I was reminded fully why I hate people.

My mother finally got around to telling me something she wanted, a silver plated business card holder from Marshall Field's

Let me guess: she's a realtor, right? Who else would want a $120 business card holder FFS?
