Why no, Celvhecuieo, it would appear that there is no end to it, and no shame within our own great American senate.

For anyone who cares or just wants to argue, I'll just sit here and "blog away" sinse I have for some reason gotten into the habit of listening to live coverage of "The House" on my way home from work.

So this week it seems that it is the end of the "Bill PAssing" for the year in the Senate.

Still with me? goodSmiley: wink

ANWAR is the Arctic Wildlife Refuge.

"some people" want to drill for oil here.
Being that drilling there would only increase our oil reserves by somthing like 2 or 3 per cent and it would involve the destruction of protected land, this notion was rejected.

however, "some people" will not accept this. Reason being that supposedly if this were allowed, the oil companies would be able to make more money. I am foggy on the details of this, but you want to argue it I am more than willing to do some research. Call me crazy, but I believe it, because I don't see 3% to be worth the trouble that is being made over all of this.

So, that idea was shot down.

Enter today, the last day of "Bill Passing".

There is another Bill, this bill involves how much money shall be allocated for out Troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, ect... The "Defense Budget Bill" or somthing like that.

OBVIOUSLY, this bill must be passed.

So waht do "some people" do?

At the "last minute" they attach the ANWAR Drilling proposal directly to the Defence Budget Bill. They can do that. they rule the House, right?

They did this because they KNEW that the Defense Bill had to be passed today, so in attaching this to it at the last minute would either FORCE it to be passed, or cause a great delay in debates and arguing about it, which will cut into the Holiday vacations for all of our wonderful senators, and we don't want that do we?

So I guess we're drilling in Alaska now, so that we can get money for the lives of our troops.

Well fucking played.

Pass the gasoline and quit whining.

Who needs Fur seals and Caribou when you can drive a Humvee to the office to confirm the execution of a peace activist?

Bob bless Ameh'cuh!
