president authorized spying without a warrent in U.S.Follow

#1 Dec 16 2005 at 10:20 AM Rating: Decent
and he did it before the patriot act.

IE, broke U.S. law.

cant wait to see the spinn from the right as they try to justify yet another crime committed by this addministraition. especially in light that not a single conviction has resulted in this act.

but if you can invade a defensless country, kill tens of thousands of human beings without justifiable cause, selling this to the sheep should be a cake walk.

nope. arrested a few people, ruined a few careers like the college professor from tampa, but not a single conviction.

it might surprise you that i am actually all for big brother ease dropping on my personel life. my heartburn is them doing it OUTSIDE of U.S. law. the act itself does not bother me, but the fact that they will take liberty to ignore the laws set down in this country is just wrong. if we allow this, where does it end? what other laws will they violate? mabe shipping people to other countries to torture them? mabe divulging secrets to the public like the plame case for political pay back?

time for impeachment.

Lol. This is a pure "Oh crap! The Iraqi elections are going well! Quick! Dig up some 3 year old news that we can repackage to make it look like something illegal was being done..."

This is totally old news. And it's really not anything that amazing or surprising. The NSA gets caught spying domestically about once every 5 or 6 years, and has been consistently for the past several decades. This really is nothing new...

I want more spying and more torture. Don't try and smuggle missles into the country and you won't have to worry. People complain about the measures taken to secure this country and then whine when we're attacked and the people whos hands they tied can't do thir jobs properly.

Ok so like its a suprise? I mean seriously we all know that the CIA and FBI and Secret Service has been doing this for year. They have monitored over seas conversations for years and years just know one has ever cared to research it im sure. To bad people have to find out cause now they maybe a little more careful of what they post in emails and phone calls.

Allow me to bust out the latin to explain the spin.

i was wondering how the fanatical right was going to spinn this.

BTW, it is not 3 year old news. infact, much to my dismay at the media, the post sat on this story for over a year at the request of the whitehouse. how do you think that helped the election?

the media got us out of vietnam. today, the media is selling us out to the whitehouse.

attack the attacker, or blame it on a liberal witch hunt. the two most common fanatical right defense methods. gbaji didnt dissappoint us.

Oh, but I'm afraid your spin takes the cake. The "Fanatical Right" has nothing on:

"but if you can invade a defensless country, kill tens of thousands of human beings without justifiable cause, selling this to the sheep should be a cake walk."

That's not even worth adressing. Not only is it an emotionally loaded statement, it's loaded with complete crap. Go do some homework. Sort of like readin gthe article:

Quote:
reservations about aspects of the program have also been expressed by Senator John D. Rockefeller IV, the West Virginia Democrat who is the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and a judge presiding over a secret court that oversees intelligence matters. Some of the questions about the agency's new powers led the administration to temporarily suspend the operation last year and impose more restrictions, the officials said.

Wow, so you mean, a Democrat knew about Bush's "secret" little plan to "secretly" violate your rights and listen in on your 1-900 calls?

Quote:
The officials said the administrationhad briefed Congressional leaders about the program and notified the judge in charge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, the secret Washington court that deals with national security issues.

In fact it was soooooo "secret" that they let Congressional leaders in on this.

/whisper (Be careful of Big Brother, the blackhwaks might be coming for you now that you've said something Bush doesn't like....)

it is the complete truth.

to this day, not a single scrap of conclusive evidence has been produced to justify what we did in Iraq, either before or after the war.

nada. no justification. that in itself makes the tens of thousands of people we butchered innocent.

and the part about selling it to the sheep? well, you hear the crap he spit out, and bought it without him EVER showing you a scrap of conclusive evidence it was justified, nor ever proving to you it was a LAST RESORT.

so, stupid sheep applies also.

we all got what YOU deserveed.

Hey shadow, how about all those grounded flights were supposed to have heard about now that’s its Christmas? Was the whole air travel system supposed to be locked up by now because of all the bad things the government has done? Or is it only supposed to happen EXACTLY on Christmas Eve?

Before I respond to you Shadowrelm, I want to ask you one question:

Did you support Clinton, or if you were to young at the time, would you have given your current political stance?

yeah, way to turn a legitimate political concern into even more partisan finger-pointing.

Mr Shoppee, explain it to me like I'm a 6 year old, hell I'm really 12!! PLease explain to me why Our President isn't getting into any trouble?

Could it be because no one has the balls to say anything in risk of self-incrimination, on BOTH sides of the board?

Am I wrong? Why? PLease, my fragile larva-like political opinion wants to know.

NSA "getting caught" I feel is ALOT different than our President "getting caught".

Does this mean that the President would be allowed to shot a man in the street because Law Enforcment agents do?

Well waht's the differnce?
