Snow!Follow

I am having great luck today. Last night it iced, and then snowed. This is the usual weather around here, but it was fairly bad, even for here. My husband wakes me up at 6 to tell me his work has been delayed. So I get up to have coffee with him, and we are watching the local news. My college pops up on the bottom, and exams have been cancelled and rescheduled for December 21. I am -so- happy. I was not ready for this exam today what so ever. It is a little annoying, considering that is the day before the movers arrive, but hell, I get an extra 5 days to study! Yeah!

I think I am going to hang out in my pj's all day.

My husband just glanced over and said "oh wow, that's a great avatar" in reference to yours, Nadenu.

Well in good ol New Jersey it has not broken 25 degrees in 5 days. Then last night about 6 minutes before precipatation it spiked to 45, soooooo no snow and once again I am pissed. It is still dark out and is 54 degrees and raining......

Well, we get enormous amounts of snow. Unfortunately, we never get snow days. This is really rare. The entire time I was in the army we had one snow day.

In Central New York, we're supposed to be getting 4-8 inches, which is not bad at all really, if your a snow fan. Glad i got my snowmobiles ready last weekend, this seems like good riding weather.

You live in CNY? I thought I was the only one! Smiley: lol

Yeah, we're not getting very much snow, but there's a nice amount of ice underneath, and I haven't seen many plowed roads at all. I got school off, but I feel sorta gipped since it was supposed to be a half-day, anyways. Oh, well, I still get to go skiing all day. Smiley: grin

I'm in CNY too....heh! Well, more sorta upstate....but people around here still call it central. I'm directly north of Syracuse.

Plows are out now, I just had one plow snow onto my freshly shoveled driveway...while I was standing out there, shovel in hand. The jerk!

Edit: Oh, and my hubby likes the avatar, DF, and doesn't think it would be such a bad thing if the santa's freeze off.

Yeah, the freezing rain we got last night didn't help matters any.

...Wonder if i can convince my girlfriend to wear a santa suit like that, DF. ...Doubt it though, but always worth asking..

Yes. Well, more Fort Drum in a tiny town called Calcium right off post. But if I need Wal-Mart, I go to Watertown.

snow day here too, although it's more ice than anything. I've got a sheet of ice covering all my windows. But the good news is husbands home, son has no school, and we're all sitting at our respective computers playing around. It's pretty nice

I would rather have snow than this:
Quote:
Today: Periods of snow and sleet, mixing with freezing rain after 3pm. High around 31. East wind between 5 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tonight: Periods of freezing rain, possibly mixing with snow after 11pm, then gradually ending. Low around 20. North wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Yesterday was 70s here. I was at a restaurant and overheard the following:

Man walking out: Is it cold out there?
Man walking in, wearing puffy jacket: Yeah, it is pretty cold, that wind will get ya!

Smiley: lol

That's kind of what we had yesterday. I wish the hospital would cancel, but that's a crock. Hospitals never close. Gr.

I miss San Diego. I remember hitting the beach and doing a bonfire for Christmas. I cannot wait for hubby to retire out of the Navy so we can get the hell out of Lemoore and back to warm weather (even though it's 50 where I am--that's cold to my tropical DNA).
