ehh I'm on fark kick today

IGN has released their top 10 most "Villainous Moments."

Linky

I am not huge on Comic books and don't know how much cred IGN holds in the eyes of Comic fans.

Its good to see the Joker is just as sick and twisted as ever, paralyzes Bat Girl, in front of her father and then takes nude photos of her. That mans got some balls.

Happened in the 80's, but still definatly one of the more twisted things to happem in comics.

Unfortunatly, the "death's" of a lot of the charachters "killed" during the events mentioned are no longer dead...

FYI- Spider-man "died" in comics last week. Definatly shocking. He got beaten to a bloody pulp and had an eye ripped out of his head.

That doesn't mean he's going to stay dead though...

He didn't die, the next issue in that series came out and he's in the hospital. Yeah, they brought Jason Todd back to life, thus negating their number 1 pick. If they really wanted to shock the readers, they'd kill someone and leave them dead. Collossus died in the X-men and they cremated him, scattered the ashes, and he got better. Lame.

I've given up on Jean Grey. This is why I quit reading X-men. I hated Psylocke before she died and I hate her more for comming back.

Hm. No one mentioned the death of Ilyana Rasputin. Didn't she stay dead?

Nope. There was a "majik" mini series a couple years back. Nightcrawler was in it methinks.

And spider-man did too die!!!

...For all of one issue.

The two "main" X-books are pretty much crap at the moment, but "Astonishing" written by Mr. Buffy (Joss Whedon) was very good...can't wait for book 2.

And Jean Grey was back for a mini last year called "Phoenix: Endsong" that was pretty good. But she's dead again...again

ehh sort of. During this whole "M" thing recently (when Scarlett Witch completly altered reality), she came back in "New Xmen" and an alternate version of her was in the Exiles as well for quite some time(until Hyperion broke her neck)

Wait...was she supposed to be the blond girl who jogged everybodies memories in House of M?

Was wondering who she was supposed to be...

No that was Layla Miller who is in the new X-Factor comic (#1) Illyana was in New Xmen (formerly the NEW new mutants - Academy X, I believe it was also called) she was part of the kiddie shield group led by Danielle Moonstar, she replaced Noriko when the kiddie shield group was going over to Japan to bust Norikos "sapian" father. (She had a penchant for teleporting people into Volcanos)

/edit on a side note "The Walking Dead" is one of the best new comic series I have gotten my hands on since "Elfquest". The guys are also doing the "Marvel Zombies" short run series.(ALso good but read the Ultimate Fantastic Four that ties in with it first, it explains why there is a zombie world)

Piotr Rasputin's, (AKA Colossus) sister.

I knew who Illyana is/was. Never read the New X-men spin off, but did read it when Grant Morrison was writing it.

No desire to read the new X-Factor either. Multiple man in charge of an X-Factor group without Havok or Polaris? No thanks.

I have heard good things about "Walking Dead" and think I might pick up the first graphic novel next week.

I'd say the best book I'm reading currently would have to be The Ultimates. The last issue was jaw droping to say the least...

Jason Todd is alive again? Lame.

Well, the movie theaters brought Elektra back to life, so I guess.

I still wonder how her body got from point A to point B to be revived.

She came back to life in the comics as well. Ninjas from a group called The Hand (no relation to The Foot from TMNT)took her body and used magic to bring her back. Curse you magic ninjas!!

Then she died again in recent Wolverine comics. Then she got brought back to life again...again.

No one stays dead in Comics except for Uncle Ben.

And Jason Todd has only come back once I think. It was thought he was "Hush" for a bit, but that was a cleaver ruse.

Oh, Bucky's back too. Now he's a bad guy called "The Winter Soldier".

And Captain America comics are actually handling this well. Good story.

Yup. Weird Cyborg versions of his parents were around last year in the Azzarello ark.

Well, the story arc was actually pretty well done. It turned out Superman had created them himself and didn't remember doing it.

Then there was a big throw down with Zod.

Zod is kewl.

The Jason Todd in Hush was Clayface pretending. They brought Jason back recently as some dude named The Red Hood or something just as lame. He went and found the current Robin and wooped him up. Gwen Stacy didn't even stay dead. They cloned her then melted the clone.

I picked it up out of x-habit. It's starting off pretty shaky but who knows....Multiple Mans multiple shoves Rictor off a tall building...

It is fantastic. They have 3 graphic novels right now. Definatly start at the beginning with this one. Unlike movies this one is more about survival, how people try to survive and adapt. there is also a huge twist to the becoming a zombie thing which the 3rd graphic novel explains. (It isn't corny which most if not all zombie comics tend to be)

I was never an Fantastic four fan but the Ultimate Fantastic Four is AWESOME! Ive been wanting to grab The Ultimates as well, everytime I walk by (every week when I do my comic runs) it catches my eye but when the hubby is with me he doesnt like me to deviate from the usual (probably because I could easily blow half his paycheck in a comic store)

If you liked the first couple arcs of the Authority and/or Planetary, you'll love the Ultimates.

Pick up the first graphic novel if you can. It's by far the best book in the Ultimate line. It's a realistic take on the Avenger's in contemporary America with all sorts of politics, reamagining of origins, and plot twist shenanigans thrown in.

The First Arc was the formation of the team and a fight with the Hulk, who tears up Manhatten in an attempt to kill Freddie Prinze Junior (no joke)

The second arc has them fight off alien invader's who were responsible for Cap getting trapped in the ice, and helped the ***** during WWII (alien ****'s ftw!)

The third arc is all politics and betrayel's so far. It really ties into current world events. The US is going around the world and using the Ultimates for regime change and disarming potential threats and such. Last issue the rest of the world had enough and...(won't ruin it. Soooo good)
