Over a half million dollars in three days on only five screens ($110k per screen). And seven award nominations. I'm sure the producers are very sad at your asessment Smiley: laugh

Virus,(yes I can make stupid nicknames for people when quoting them too)

Average americans regard homosexuality as an abomination

Where's your proof? It sounds like you're saying that what you think is what the average American thinks.

For the record, homosexuality isn't an abomination, it isn't a choice, it's genetic. Science>Religious belief influenced opinion.

On five screens it is. That's $36k per theatre per day. In any event, between its US opening and foreign distribution deals, the film is already bought and paid for at this point. Benefits of a low budget. You can cry about decreasing Hollywood box offices, but this film is going to make a nice sized bankroll for the folks involved.

What's more, based on its success, expect more gay cowboy movies next year as the sheep follow the trend.

Sweeping epic, magic-wielding gay penguin cowboy movies. Animated with lots of pop culture references.

Homosexuality is an unnatural act and not in the least genetic in nature. Just because you say something is scientific in order to validate your twisted views doesn't make it so. As a matter of fact homosexuality is being shown more and more to be linked with @#%^philia. Now if you want to argue that @#%^philia is natural and genetic be my guest but don't delude yourself into buying liberal hollywoods propaganda that homos are just like you and I and were born that way. There is absolutely no evidence to support this claim.

That's the most asinine study yet. Where is the data? Peer review?

If you're going to troll at least have the intelligence to actually use one of the more well known studies that have actual data to back up your regressive, idiotic views.

Am I the only one who thought this movie should be name "The Homosexualist"? If only to further give a nod to John Wayne and his movie "The Shootist" and also Nobby and Little Britain all at the same time.

Poor Varus, the organic smells of a horseback riding, rawhide leather and the 'Macho Marlboro-Man' imagery will be forever tainted for him by a movie about throbbing cowboy penises, I mean hearts.

He occassionally has flashbacks to a warm summer night in the okra patch with his Latino farmhand before shaking his head violently and chanting "never happened.. never happened" to himself.

Then he tries to pick up truckstop waitresses with his Renoir shirt to reassert his heterosexuality.

Virus,

First off, learn to break the filter.

IF you're comparing those to each other and saying there's a link, homosexuality becomes a mental condition. It still isn't a choice and in it's own way would still be natural to the person with that condition.

Logically, scientifically, and psychologically, you end up with the same result: people do not choose to be gay, which also means they don't "recruit" people.

Virus, you seem to think that homosexuals are evil people who will try to make you one of them if you talk to them or respectr them at all. Meet one, talk to them and realize that you are far from being right.

You live in America in the modern world, you don't necessarily have to liek it, but at least don't spew your f[b]
ucking hate for everything that isn't the same as you here.
