Of course Hunters are just as over populated a class as Pallies and Druids. But I have a lvl 45 Warrior and 60 Warlock so I will hit the easy button and play a hunter, he is lvl 9 already, dwarf.

I know. It was more about the race/class combo really. It may have evened out a bit since the beginning, but my god I hated the NE starting zone a year ago.

Hunters? Easy mode? Shut up, people will hear you.

Gotta tell you guys how fun it is to be a newb again, and not know anything. It really is the journey, not the destination that makes a game fun.

Come relive the journey you slackers!

Nope, guessing it was just a bug. I'll log in tonight, and see if it works later, good thing I'm a caster *nod*

You people are f'ucking killing me. For the record, I hate the majority of alliance side players with a Bob damned passion. But I will join you. I will whisper an Asylumite with name/race when I create. Do we have 6000 NE Druids or 9,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 Human paladins yet?

For what it's worth, Moe (and the rest of you Horde fans), there's no reason we can't start up a Horde guild as well - if ever a guild name that would be appropriate for the Horde, I'm thinking, "Followers of the Stars" - with Smasharoo and the other old timers' blessing, of course.

Smasharoo, Tacosid, et. al, I can't speak for everyone, but I for one hope that you all decide to give WoW a try and join us - Loathed is in and is hooked. We could use some mass pyschotic pullings like in the old days of EQ!

The Asylumites is comprised mainly of alts anyhoo - if the Asylumites guild really takes off, I'm sure some of us (me included) will want to play on the Horde side together with you all once in a while as well - in fact, I have my Tauren Shaman and Undead Warlock standing by...

Hey Smoggy, could you add race/class to the name list in the OP? It might help folks decide what to make.

I'll do my best - I may need to ask some of you to remind me what race/class you are as I'm at the office today.

Also, please take the time and review the icon tabards (see opening post) and provide feedback - if you don't like any of the suggestions, then get in game and take a screen shot and link it here.

I still think the jester one is most appropriate, but I like the pirate one as a second choice.

Yeah, I'm digging the Garden Gnome. And no on the pink tabard.

Seriously though, if any of you don't like the color scheme, provide alternate choices & screenshots. I was in a guild with the dark red (crimson) background, but once on our characters, it sort of has a pinkish tint to it. We were not amused.

The jester was my first choice as well, however, Samira and Node didn't like it much - Samira didn't think it said "Loony" like I thought it did, heh. I figure on this topic we need to go with majority rules vote. So I'm open to a couple of the other suggestions presented so far.

Again, post some other icon screenshots so we can vote on it - I'll compile the screenshots with the rest of the ones already in the OP.

Also, I've updated the roster to the best of my abilities from work - if you see any errors, post your corrections - I'll make the appropiate fixes.

Finally, for the rest of you interested in getting into the guild - Jump in the game tonight after 6pm (EST) and find me. I'll also check here in this thread while I'm playing WoW tonight, so post here as to when you'll be on.

Smoggy you need to rank people up so they can invite others to guild.

Ok ok...you guys got me. I gave away my credit card and reactivated my account. I'll spend this evening updating and then probably try to join up tomorrow night. Put me down for an Orc something and a Gnome somethingelse.

For the tabard: my first choice is the tankards clinking (nothing says "Asylum" like a drunkard's symbol). Second choice is the garden gnome, mostly because of how stretched-out he'll be on my dwarf's big bust.

That would entail having at least more than one person online at a time to do it - I'm leaving work now and will be home in an hour.

What job is more fun, Druid or Warlock? On the melee side, Hunter or Rogue?

Warlocks can do some amazing things, but are probably one of the hardest classes to play well. They also need soul shards to do anything cool, which are kind of a pain to gather.

Druids are by far the most versatile class, but in the end game they get pigeonholed into healing.

Rogues and Hunters both dish out crazy dps, and are easy to level. Pick rogue if you like a fast-paced, frenzied, clicky class, or hunter if you like having a pet.

For now, AegisGoat (Cherick), Nexa (Nexa) and Moe (Moereese) and my alt, Snorre, have been made officers to help out with guild invites if I'm not on.

We'll start up slow and see how things evolve. I recommend we keep the guild invites to Asylum posters (old and new) and significant others. As a self-admitted Alt-oholic, maybe we can each have at least one alt in the guild if you feel like it. It's something to consider.

Maybe by next weekend we can have a meeting to figure out structure - I have a basic charter and code of conduct (basic common sense stuff) that I am revamping from my old guild on Feathermoon to tailor it for Asylumites. We can modify as we see fit.

Mainly, we're about hanging out with each other and having fun with as little drama as possible - let's leave the drama for here on the boards. I know we have a lot of alts joining Asylumites, but I bet that once you "alts" see how much fun we as a guild can have together with all of our charming personalities, those alts will become "main" characters.

If anyone wants to volunteer to create a Guild website and/or Message Board, please feel free - I've got too much going on to do that as well.

Since I started the guild up, I am by default the Guild Founder - I say Founder as I prefer that term over Guild Master or Guild Leader. I am happy and honored to be the Founder - I liken it to more of a Custodial and Dispute-settler (if need be) role. If I suck at the role, then I'll gladly pass the reins onto some worthy guild member. I'm sure we'll have positions like Raid Leader, Class Officers and such as we get more organized. I've always been in favor of having a Council of Officers to help run things smoothly.

Anyhoo, just some thoughts.

Updates suck...

Been meaning to give this game a try for a while now. Guess this is as good a time as any. I'll probably be checking out Warlock.

No worries, either me or one of the officers should be on for a few more hours tonight. Glad to have you join us!
