The Nap that made the day.Follow

For the last couple weeks I have been working like a dog. Adding extra shifts, putting in extra hours, taking all the grunt work that I can. Why? Well its the Christmas season and the money is nice to have but mainly because that the day after I moved in with my girlfriend I was made aware of her secret identity of "emotional baggage, clingy and somewhat loony" girl. So I work enough that in total I see her about 30min each day.

This coupled along with the fact that I usually only sleep from 3am to 8am, that I walk the 10km each day in sub zero Canadian weather to and from work to get time to myself (crazy girlfriend again) leaves one tired disgruntled bodhisattva.

So today I wake up just as the girlfriend leaves for work. It is supposed to be my day off but I decide yet again to pick up a shift. I do some chores around the house listen to the White Album, putter around then make myself lunch. I figure I would clean up the bedroom and then phone up work and tell them I am coming in. Somewhere around making the bed I fell asleep, and I slept and slept and slept. It was beautiful. When I woke up it was to late to add a shift. Almost worth having to put up with the girlfriend this evening Smiley: grin.

Yes. Some days it's great to catch an extra 4 hours of sleep, to make you feel human again.

Fast forward this situation 20 years. I envision alcoholics and workaholics anonymous. Maybe some Prozac involved.

You walk 6 miles to and from work every day? Isn't that against international human rights laws?

40 minutes each way.

I have to say that my minidisc player is a godsend. I haven't had to change the battery in over a month.

Girls are crazy because they have a ******.

Men are crazy because they have to put up with girls. I think Saboruto and homosexuals in general are onto something.
