NWS and You. How to create a better forum experience

NWS simply means Not Work Safe. See many of the posters that help to make this forum a diverse and interesting place to browse happen to post from work. Generally, they work in relatively easy going jobs that allow them limited internet access.

However, most corporations, educational facilities, and even households frown on their employees/students/children viewing objectionable, lewd, or lascivious material. Not only from a legal liability standpoint of having objectionable material viewed by a passerby accidently pulled up on a monitor but also from a corporate culture standpoint, especially when said browser didn't know that the material he was accessing was objectionable.

When you link content that may be objectionable please tag it with NWS so that those accessing it know that they are taking the risk of opening objectionable material. Any material you wouldnt feel comfortable viewing naked with your grandmother might be considered objectionable and should be tagged.

Thank you, with your cooporation you will be doing your part to make this forum a better forum for everyone.

If you frequently find yourself naked with your grandmother, you have more important issues to focus on than forum posting etiquette.

I know I have seen her naked 1000 times but, I don't mind making it 1001.

If there was to be a sticky in this forum, this would get my vote for it. Honestly, I love the rude (and sometimes just downright wrong) banter in this forum, but clicking on an unlabelled link while at work and seeing a picture of nakked people isn't cool. Granted, I'm in the IT department, and in a locked room with limited access so I won't get in trouble. But most people are not and do have IT people monitoring their browsing or people walking by that might catch a glimpse of something.

That being said, I will be checking out MentalFrog's examples thoroughly once I get home.

So links to risque images are bad, but nude or nearly nude people in avatars are good?

Got it. But my dancing cat stays.
