Didn't Thomas Jefferson grow marijuana?

More "facts" are coming out about this story now, but it will probably just sink below the news radar fairly soon.

Before he ran off the plane he “uttered threatening words that included a sentence to the effect that he had a bomb,”

hmmm...so did he say he had a bomb? doesn't look like it

Officials declined to say how many times Alpizar was shot, but passengers reported hearing between four to six shots

definitely an intent to kill, maybe a little trigger happy?

anyone change their minds yet?

Now I am worry about getting attacked at my favorite cheese shop.

I'm surpised that not one person has mention Sucide By Cop.

We have had a few make major headlines around Maryland in the last few years. Usually some guy is off meditation and either they attack family members or threaten them with a weapon and someone calls the cops. Police end up having to shoot them, when the person looks like he is about to attack someone. More then once it turn out the "weapon" wasn't what they thought and there is some public outcry.

Making a mentally ill person take their medication is very hard, if not impossible, if they don't want to take it. I've seen this in my and Jonwin's family members and the effect it has on everyone around the non-compliant patient is not pretty. I also get my treatment for depression at a clinic where I gotten to know in group therapy, who other patients have gone of their meds at times because they feel "Well" again. Normally it takes the people around them several days to realize something is wrong, but it is up to the patient to be med compliant or the doctors at the clinic can try to have them place in a supervise situtation like hospital or group home. Jonwin knew of a patient, whose family would say "Don't eat the yellow jello." to dinner guests as that is where they would put the haldol in order for the person to remain medicated and non delusional.

edit so to corret spellong and Jonwin to eplain the real reason the Yellow Jello comment was maded.

I picked a "suicide by cop" scene to play for my final project in Drama in high school. It was fun.

Oh, so he had to acctualy say the word "bomb" for it to be justified. "I'm gunna blow everyone up!" Boom! "Why didn't you stop him?" "Sorry, he had to say bomb." No, Smash, I'm not terrified. It makes me feel safer knowing that if someone tries to blow up my plane, they'll get taken out before they can. They shot multiple times, Soul, to make sure the job was done. If they shot once, he might not have died and he could have still set off the bomb. If you're going to do something, do it right.

Two passengers, however, said they did not hear Alpizar mention a bomb...Passenger John Mcalhany told The Associated Press on Thursday that Alpizar bumped into him as he ran off the aircraft, and he did not hear him say anything about a bomb.

"The first time I heard the word bomb was when I was interviewed by the FBI," McAlhany said. "They kept asking if I heard him say the B-word. And I said, 'What is the B-word?' And they were like, 'Bomb.' I said no. They said, 'Are you sure?' And I am."

"This was wrong," McAlhany added. "This man should be with his family for Christmas. Now he's dead."

Mary Gardner, another passenger, also said Thursday she not hear Alpizar mention a bomb.
