not supprised, but will be interesting to see something come of this. would be nice to know exactly what % of the 360's were sold with known bad PSUs with their overheating issue.

MS claims a small amount, but that could be anything under 50% can be called small.

Suing because it blows up and kills your children? Go for it!

Suing because it overheats and stops working when MS is offering replacements? Go to hell!

to an extent, but if this is a case of MS knew about it and that can be proven, then by all means sue.

if it however an honest manufacturing mistake and not a design flaw, then i agree with you.

that is why this will be interesting to see how it turns out.

In an effort to rush their system out before Nintendo and Sony, they might've cut some corners that shouldn't have been cut.

It takes a man with either great stupidity or big balls with a lot of money to up and say "Hey... I'm going to sue Microsoft."

It seems now-a-days, unless you're Nintendo, any console out on the market has some kind of blaring flaw. With the old Playstation 2's it was Disc Read Errors, and with the Xbox it was it's faulty power cords. Nintendo, while an incredibly stubborn company, seems to have the most trustworthy hardware each generation. (Although their controllers were complete crap when it came to the life of them.)

Original NES also had problems with the cartriges getting dirty, forcing the user to "blow" on them... That sucked.

Well, you can't really blame them too much for that. That's a limitation on all cartridge based systems

But everybody who ever owned an NES knows how to work that blow technique.

An easy FTFY for anybody that cares to aim that low.

An easy task for anybody that sucks as much dick as me.

I distinctly recall back when I owned my NES that I was firmly convinced that you had to sit the cartridge just right to help it load correctly. Put the cartridge into the slot, depress the cartridge until it locks into place, then pull it back a bit until it hits the case. Hey, gimme' a break I was like 8.

HAHA My NES i had to slide the cartridge in, then push it down so the cart caught the lip and clicked in, or games wouldn't work. I could never get the Micromachines games to work or any game with the A B switch on the back.

Regrardless of whether or not MS should be sued, this is one of the main reasons why I never get a system right when it comes out.

Goes to show the problem with people these days. I buy a product and for some reason it's defective........TAKE IT BACK for a replacemnt. This issue caused no bodily harm. And if it called mental anguish, then the problem is a lot deeper than an overheating system. But what's worse is there's actually a lawyer out there that said, "Oh yeah, you have a case" What a waste of human flesh.

That right there should be a Natural Law. It should be placed in importance right up there with Newton's Laws.
