What's interesting is that the *only* places you can even read about this are on some minor conservative web sites. Not a single mention of it on CNN that I can find. Strange...

How much you want to bet that if there'd been huge crowds, it would have been covered? After all, they *were* there, and did write a story about the group on the day of the signing. Kinda strange that they didn't mention the signing, but only detailed the group heading out (while making a point to mention the large numbers of supporters they had earlier in the year).

Bias? You decide.

Her whole campaign started just a few months ago, no? And she pumps out a book about it already? I bet it makes for real wonderful reading.

Missed that story. But if there's bias, take it up with the Associated Press lackey who wrote the wire story instead of blaming it on CNN. Although, before you rail too hard at the AP, take note that the sad picture of Mrs. Sheehan being tossed around is, you guessed it, an AP photo.

The entire WorldNewsDaily story is a regurgitation of a Washington Post story using Associated Press photos and then a couple blurbs from blogs and message boards. Every other blog story is a reguritiation of the WorldNewsDaily story which, as mentioned, took the story from the Post.

Damn liberal media, indeed! Without them, we wouldn't have the photos or the story! Smiley: mad

Bah! Washington Post. Whatever... ;)

Silly me. I did a google search on "sheehan book signing", figuring that should, you know, get hits on articles about the book signing. If the Post had chosen to use *any* of those words in the title of their article, I might have found it.

I looked on cnn.com because that's a far larger and more widely read online news source. Didn't spend hours searching every news site on the web or anything...

Edit: Oh. And you do know that the various news outlets *choose* which stories to run on their sites and papers, right? So, the choice to go with a story about protesters leaving Crawford rather then the book signing was a decision made by CNN, not the guy(s) who wrote the various stories. So, any bias presented by that choice falls squarely on whomever at CNN makes those decisions.

Of course they choose. Can you link all the wire stories being run about the signing? Because I'd like to see the wide assortment of Sheehan stories CNN had to choose from.

If you want to save face by blaming CNN, knock yourself out. It was an insignificant fluff piece that apparently didn't even stay on the front page for 24 hours. Versus Congressmen injured in Iraq or the "Teacher accused of liberal quiz" story that's been up for days.

Sure. Liberal bias. Whatever.

FYI, Sheehan Book Signing -- 7th hit down. I don't blame you though; Google's probably just part of the conspiracy.

I for some reason was sure this topic was "Sheehan flip book". Maybe that would have sold better. You know, little stick-figure animations of Cindy as she sits, lonely and despondent, without a son or a cause left.
