Poor Cindy looks like she's having trouble finding nuts to buy her garbage.

Her 15 minutes of fame is over.

Thank gawd. Her one and only endearing trait was the fact that she caused Bush so much grief.

Meh No roadblock needed I would bet. Why would a crazy liberal believe that anyone in Bush's strong republican hometown would want a signed copy of her incoherent babbling?

I bet the turnout would be different had the siging been held in San Fran. Well, that is what you get for pulling publicity stunts

Tell that to the hordes of people who were with her holding up signs a few months ago ...

Sheehan hasn't been a story since pre-Katrina. The only ones seriously keeping her "alive", so to speak, is the right wing media using her as someone to point to and say "Ha! Those crazy liberal peaceniks!" She falls (though to a much lesser scale) in my mind in the same catagory as Mrs Clinton: the Right uses her as a figure to demonize the Left and all the Leftists I know don't really have much of an opinion of the woman at all.

Conservative media bias?

I do enjoy that now its a matter of the right wing demonizing, when before it was left-wing propoganda.

ITS BIAS MANIA!!

Do you disagree? Does anyone put any real press time into Mrs. Sheehan these days aside from right wing commentators and internet rags? I'm not even talking FOX; I'm talking WorldNetDaily, Drudge, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, et al.

I think I remember she was in Washington a few weeks? months? back and that's it. I don't know when the last time I heard her brought up in any conversation. If she was such a beacon of the Left, you'd think we'd be getting the Daily Sheehan Minute from the Liberal Media Conspiracy, no? Has anyone here aside from Varrus ever started a thread about her? Injected her into an existing debate?

Face it, no one seriously cares about her these days but the Right. And they only care because they want to make the Left look bad through her.

They've been saying the same thing the entire time. Now that people agree she was a press hungry pawn of the media, suddenly it becomes demonizing?

You are right though, the thrill is gone. Time to move on to Lefties like this!

The first pic cracks me up

Go PETA!

Yeah, she came home here to Sacramento this weekend and was met atthe airport by a whooping 12 people, most of whom were immediate family and close friends. That kind of response does not exactly bring to mind a vast groundswell of support for her cause, despite the media attention devoted to her.

I think the woman is sincere if a bit loopy. Obviously she's "press hungry"; you don't get heard without a voice and, unfortunately for her, the voice has largely moved on to other things. But I don't see that as a reflection on her character. Is she living in a mansion? Wearing designer clothes as she sits outside in the mud? Driving a new 2006 Lexus to Crawford?

You think that's a silly comic Nepth? Watching Dad become a homicidal maniac when he was gutting those walleyes was the highlight of our summer vacations!

Oh, who am I kidding? He made Mom do all the work. She was one of those coldly calculating fish murderers. Once they were dredged in flour and pan fried, we all became her eager accomplices at the dinner table.

The horror!

On that note, can anyone explain to me how PETA justifies animals killing and eating each other for food? I always stand amazed at the utter silliness of that organization.

They are less pro-vegetable than they are anti-human. The logic so employed is the same that decries a human dam as a needless intrusion, yet reveres a beaver's dam as a wonder of nature.

Maybe we should just bite their little heads off, bear style?

After we administer a non-lethal hypo-allergenic food additive for the fish that will cause the animals to fall into a pain-free sleep state of course. Then we can eat them. But we must not defile the carcass, so the remains should be buried in a marked grave, detailing the life-time of accomplishments the fish in question has achieved. A formal notice should be sent to the family with a large settlement in order to ease the grieving process. All fish will then have an honorary plaque hung on a soon to be developed fish monument to remind us of the fate of these beloved aquatic friends.

But wait I thought she was a single mom on a mission of peace? No the "voice" hasn't moved on to other things it never cared for Cindy in the first place. Now that it's obvious the American people could care less about her pseudo crusade the liberal media has completely abandoned her. And I like how you use talk radio as a source for the continuation of this story; I havn't heard Rush mention her in quite some time and I listen to him daily. The lack of support for her crusade is a clear indicator that the American people continue to support the war in Iraq and Afghanistan despite sketchy polling. Cindy was supposed to usher in this return to the 60's peacnik movement but now that it has completely failed the liberal media has moved onto more important stories, like the greatly anticipated Rove indictment.

So polling is sketchy, but Sheehan's decline is clearly solid evidence?
