Oh, and Joph, that's still a weak come back. I mean, this is first and foremost, a gaming board. The assylum is a social board within a gaming board.
Exactly. It's a social board. Most of the regulars rarely, if ever, post in the main game sections. People here pay their premium to be rid of banners and to get avatars, not to get special item search features. Some of them don't play any games at all. The fact that it's an appendix to one of the world's largest gaming sites doesn't matter. Why would I feel like an "outsider" to the WoW or FFXI or EQ2 forums? I never visit them. They don't even exist to me in any meaningful way. I guess if I went to visit the WoW forums I might feel like an outsider but I don't and so.. well, I don't.

Holy crap.. people with distinct and memorable personalities are more quickly accepted into a social group than those without? You should be writing a thesis or something with this sort of groundbreaking knowledge.
I suppose what you say must be true because I honestly could not tell you thing one about Kcaee.

Anyways, like I said before, results speak for themselves. Logic and unemotional speech equals rate down if its what people don't want to hear.
Don't let the amateur Poly-Sci lectures and reguritated
Chicago Tribune articles fool you: it's a fucking social club. You want to shine, say something amusing or get out.
