I feel, in all fairness, I should just be able to put the puppy in my mouth and leave in what whatever condition it left my belongings Smiley: grin

It's simple. If you're unwilling to accept responsibility for destructive pets, don't fucking own them. Owner's are responsible for the actions of their pets.

I hear goldfish are really pretty easy going.

Tom should pay, not Jane. Tom was in possession of the fluffy puppy (not to mention possible part owner as possible common law husband) and also in possession of the handbag as bailee when it was placed on the table. He should pay its replacement value.

I say pay half for the repair. 1) the purse shouldn't have been left within reach of a pet, and 2) the pet should be better trained.

If she doesn't want to get a repair, fuck her.

Diane is a fucking tool for buying a $200 purse. That being said I would offer to reimburse her what she paid for it since my dog chewed it up, then I would probably stop inviting her over since she can't seem to keep an eye on her shit.

I'm thinking the expensive purse selling company is breeding fluffy puppies that like to chew on their products.

Our cat has chewed through two purse handles. (*&(*& cat.

Do you know why I like cats better than dogs? You can punt them farther.

I like cats...they taste like chicken!

I can't see a reason to spend over $20. I mean really, it's a leather sack with a handle.

Hee hee. I think I may keep this one for a while.

You guys haven't shopped for purses much lately, have you? It can be a challenge to find one for under $50 that doesn't look like you picked it up at the local Good Will store.

I can never find any I like at Target. Of course I see a lot of $200 purses I like when I walk through Macy's. Then I keep walking, and hang on to my $28.00 Chococat purse.

Tough shit for Diane. A new puppy does what a new puppy does and she should have known that, thus keeping her purse out of reach. Instead, she should consider this a cheap lesson for later in life when she has her own children and puppies and she considers using the good china and whatnot with destructive little creatures running about.

Yup Totem, you're responsible if your poodles eat other people's goods too.

Of course I'm sure your fluffballs are much better behaved, right?

I'm just trying to spam the Asylum with my new avatar today.

I just wait for the 50 dollar Macy's purses to go on sale. I have a Prada and a Kate Spade purse, but considering I purchsed each one for under 50 bucks, somehow I don't think they are real. There is this shop in town that sells all sorts of brands like that for 30-75 bucks depending, everything from cheaper brands like the Sak to Coach. How is that legal? *shrug*

There is only 1 kind of purse I would like to get and they start at a $1.8M purse.

You don't know that. They may have just been made by Indonesian children infected with cholera and scarlet fever.

While there is a thin like between male immaturity and male sexuality, I would have to say no.

If the situation was switched around and you were the victom, would they pay you on demand? I doubt it... If they were the type of friend that would, then yes i'd pay them compensation if i was Tom. Jane is not responsible. Other than that, **** happens and it is a no fault situation in which Diane should learn from.
