Hope everyone has a good turkey day. And for all those at big family gatherings, I wish you a drama-free event.

Smiley: lol

I just know someone is going to come back complaining about their drunk Uncle Bob hitting on Cousin Roy's girlfriend, or something.

There damn well better be some drama when we all get back. This place needs some good reads.

happy Thanksgiving everyone. May you all get stuffed!

Well, after careful consideration (in other words, husband called his mother and upon hearing the news that we were not coming she went into seizures), we are braving the blizzard. We are leaving tonight instead of tomorrow, and we hope the roads are clear enough for our return on Friday. Ah, weather. Happy thanksgiving all!

There's hideous mutant turkeys everywhere! Run for your lives!

<more sounds of vicious beak attacks and spurting blood>

Help! We need counterweapons. Quick. Get the carving knives and basters. To arms men!

Well, my holiday is technically over I suppose. No drama here, but I'm worn out. Holidays kill me.

I guess I'm technically the last person on this board to eat a Thanksgiving dinner eh? I went to the market this morning and good god what a complete loony bin that place was. No wagons outside, looping lines, some seriously cheap pies and fruit platters, it was awesome! I'm in charge of stuffing and was so sad to see them sold out of San Francisco Sourdough, my fave. sniff.

I'm too fat to travel to my family, so we're going to hubby's parent's house, which means no drama, just a nice dinner. Which is quite a nice change from my mom getting insulted by my aunt, my dad doing nothing, my uncle getting drunk and pissing everyone off, and my great aunt teasing my brother until he stalks off.

I have a work Friday too, so I don't have a "break". Boo.

Light turnout at the family gathering this year. It was pleasant despite that, though.

Came home and started the arduous task of packing. I swear, I always say I'm never doin this **** again and here I am, doing this **** again. Next time I think a move is coming I'm gonna double insure and just torch the place.

I just got back from PA. It was ok, pretty relaxing. The mother-in-law didn't flip out -too- badly at the prospect of my husband deploying again....ok, well, yeah she did, but she will get over it. The drive back was ok until we hit the last 30 miles of our drive. It was crazy! Two feet of snow at least, and they seem to have forgotten about snow plows. We had to drive down the interstate at 10 miles an hour, totally unable to see. Thank god it was only the tail end of our drive. It's nasty out there...
