Why we should be given the choice to stay or goFollow

Day before TDay, half of our employees are off. The rest are just sitting around doing nothing. I am in the upstairs warehouse office and have completed the following tasks in the past 6 hours:

1) Qued up some LF in OGame
2) Checked out all the new pictures on College Humor
3) Ate cereal
4) Made a wiffle ball out of tape and rubber bands
5) Actually found a wiffle ball bat in the office (what are the odds)
6) Hit the wiffle ball around the warehouse for 45 minutes
7) Played Grow
8) Typing this

To do list for today:

1) Fix the display piece I broke with wiffle ball
2) Lunch in 34 minutes
3) Catch up on some back issues of The Onion
4) Happy Hour at 5:30

I think if you have nothing to do, and you can prove that you are leeching the time clock and wasting valuable company funds, that you can opt to just leave without having to fake being sick.

I would love to do some work, but with nobody here or nobody willing to put the orders in, I have nothing to do.

That is sooo my office today. I think I took a walk, talked with me moms for a spell, researched playing with a new subjob, read the paper, etc.

for me today has been

45% work
50% working on programming project for school.
3% playing brick on my iPod
3% loading up Super Metroid on the laptop and messing around with that

...yah it's a boring day...

I know it adds up to 101%...I plan to leave early, so I need to put in a little extra this morning :)

Well, I just got done giving a lecture on the increasing specialization and market segmentation occurring the in agricultural sector to a captive audience who made the mistake of asking me a question about pecans.

So yeah, I'm being productive as all getout today. Actually, I was playing hurry up and wait for some presales counts, which I'm still doing because of some screwed up dating on some orders that has to be sorted out.
