A Karma RantFollow

#1 Nov 16 2005 at 7:34 AM Rating: Excellent
Why?

Because I haven't done it yet (that I can recall at this time).

Is someone camping me?

No, but I'm sure that'll change soon.

Do I think you're all a bunch of cnuts, or to get more with the Nobby-times, funting kumquats?

Moist certainly. Hell, that's why I come here, to be among my own kind, or close enough, at any rate. It's about as social as I get. Besides, it's something to do in my spank-breaks.

So what's my beef with Karma?

It's a barter system designed to reward those who march to the beat of the local politically correct drums. It's a daisy chain of reacharounds and backrubs, evidenced by the elitist attitudes and snobbish comments aimed at outsiders. The very act of rating someone up or down and the easily changed (and saveable) filter settings encourage individuals to fall into the rhythm and thinkright of the raters. Anyone who doesn't march to the gooosestep is shunned, ridiculed, and prodded into a verbal corner until they lash out blindly or submit weakly. Either eventuation is a destruction of their inner character and individuality, the very things which we all claim (or should claim) to treasure in others.

Karma should be shared by all. The rating of this forum should be divided equally amonst all its members and participants so that all would encourage others to make better posts and to get along peacefully. Karma should not be a slab of heavy weight to crush us all into flat conformity, but a gossamer sheet which lies lightly over individuals uniformly displaying the uniqueness underneath. Any and all who wish to join these ranks should be welcomed under the blanket of equality. It is in the inevitable progression of civilization that Karma should next evolve into a community property to better us all. Who will march with me?

"Mandrake, do you realize that in addition to karma in forums, why, there are studies underway to karmify salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream, Mandrake, children's ice cream."

`Lord, Jack.`

"You know when karmification first began?"

`I... no, no. I don't, Jack.`

"Nineteen hundred and forty-six. Nineteen forty-six, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works."
