What is your favorite word, for whatever reason? I'm working on a project and I want some words to incorporate. I'm not going to use swearing or anything crude, unless it's particularly striking I suppose. And no Nobby, I won't be using kumquat, haha.

I have a few myself...repine, lunar, elipse, hallowed...I'm sure there are others.

I know this would appear to be sandbox fodder, but if I ask over there, they'll say stuff like "kittens" and "moogle" and I want useful words.

So anyway, if you want to contribute, that would be great, and if not, GFY! Smiley: tongue

I have always liked insipid and ilk. They make me happy when I can use them in a sentence. And with all the insipid little twits who wander in here (you know, FFXIers and their ilk), I am a happy poster most days.

Alleluia. Probably the most evocative word I can think of.

Defenestrate. Apparently. Proportionally. Appreciate. Comprehend. Paradigm. (I never use paradigm, but after reading Dilbert cartoons for years, it's a favorite.) Realistically. Accountability. Tangent.

Umm, that's about it. All other words are uncool.

I've always been a big fan of ****. It seems rather pedantic, or even insipid (for Moe), but it just rolls of the tounge and it can be pretty demeaning if you think about it. If you call someone a ****, it's like you're insulting them by not even trying to come up with a more involved word. They're beneath your effort.

That and boobs. But boobs is great for so many reasons.

Nougat. What is Nougat? Is it like caramel? It tastes good, but it brings about bad images to me; like Vacillating. Is it wrong for me to vacillate around other people or should I be alone? And Corduroy. Corduroy isn't my favorite word but it is my favorite color.

Edit: Oh, and can we do most hated words too? I hateIrregardless.
