/nod

It's funny, when I was a kid I loved all that stuff. The more sugar, the better. Now that I'm older, I find myself usually buying all the stuff that my folks bought and I complained about. Chex, Raisin Bran, Cheerios, etc.

But every now and then I'll spring for a box of Lucky Charms. Hey, they're Magically Delicious!

My favorite was peanut butter captain crunch. I didn't like any other type, but man I loved that peanut butter.

I haven't had it in years though.. I never eat cereal anymore.

Likewise, unless you count oatmeal. In which case, I had a bowl today. I wouldn't touch the stuff when I was a kid, but I love it these days.

As far as the stuff like Lucky Charms, Cookie Crisp, etc. I haven't eatne that crap in a decade or more. I R teh old.

Favorite cereal? Captain Crunch w/ Crunchberries.

Least favorite cereal? Cocoa Pebbles that was made with Splenda, but I didn't realize that until it was too late because I had my thumb over the logo when I picked it up from the shelf..... >_>

on topic, I miss the old cookie crisp commercials. the new ones suck.

Never like Cookie Crisp.

Sugar Corn Pops and Froot Loops.

Only ones I can still stand to eat anymore. Straight from the box, no milk. All the others are too sweet. It's like you can feel your teeth rotting more and more with each spoonful.

Saw an article a while back that said the cereals we grew up with have 1/4-1/3 more sugar in them than they used to have. I believe it. Just tossed out half a box of Booberry I bought last year out of nostalgia, cause it was too damned sweet. First thing I ever stole. Smiley: grin Age 4.
