Chic tech questionFollow

Seriously, I need to know. Ladies, we all know some of your gender get completely flustered by electronic gadgets and a large number of buttons. I want to get my wife a digital camera for Christmas this year and am interested to know if any of you have found a particular brand or model more intuitive and vagi-friendly than others. No offense intended, don't read it as such, just tell me if there are chic-proof cameras out there.

I don't think they make disposable cameras digital.

I'm still half asleep....sue me.

I recommend using http://www.dpreview.com/

Just look for something that has the features she wants without the extra bells and whistles she doesn't need.

I have a fancy-shmancy one, especially for a chick ;), but I hear that the Kodak Easy-share is a good one for those who essentially want a point and shoot. They even pop on to their own printer so you can just print photos from the camera without going through the computer (I think).

I think she'd be happy with that one.

Actually, they have gone disposable

Moe~

I've found that Kodak makes some pretty easy to use digital cameras. Also they have a docking station that has a built in photo-printer, which would make it nice for directly printing out the pictures, without having to learn how to transfer them to the PC.

My wife and I currenlty have a Sony digital that we got 2 years ago as a gift, it works fine, but I see us going to something like this in the near future.

Olympus makes some REALLY nice cameras, but my wife found them a little more difficult to use. She has used a Kodak digital and really seemed to like it.

To be quite honest....I have not looked at cameras in quite some time, but if money were no object I would look for something that had the highest quality picture and was the smallest. Read: Cutest. I know that sounds retarded, but as a girl I love "cute" things.

Particurlarly cute electronics. It is a factor when I buy things like my cellphone, DVD player, even my laptop. Not cute as in pink or something, just small and unique somehow.

Edit: I am going to partially take that back. If I was in the market for a camera just to shoot every day pics, I would want something cute and little. If I wanted to do real photography however, I would want a Nikon with interchangeable lenses...I have drooled over those before, but I don't have a few thousand dollars to drop on it either.

Yep! It's the kind you have to use your finger to press the button-a-ma-jig.

Aegis, she's not getting a 20D until I get to upgrade from my old and busted 300D. That would just be sick and wrong.

I am actually looking to go fairly low rent for her. The reason being she has "lost" several thousand dollars worth of small digital equipment over the years that I have known her, most of it mine (6 cell phone, work paid for, 2 PDAs, 2 mp3 players, 1 film camera, 1 digital camera, and my camcorder). In fairness, the 2 cameras and the camcorder were in a bag she lost and it was an all in one deal, but I'll be god damned if that made it any less infuriating or any more palletable to spend the $2500 replacing that one bag.

I'll second the Kodak Easyshare motion. They have a fairly broad set of cameras all set up with the same basic size and shape but with a wide variation of performance options. I got one for my parents last year for Xmas and liked it so much that I wound up buying one for myself this year before heading out on vacation.
The control layout is pretty well set up and there are enough of the cameras out there that finding accessories isn't too hard.

Plus, I can mooch charger time off their charger when I'm down to visit.

I have this one and absolutely love it! I also have the Sportspackfor when I'm out hiking or in the water.

The KODAK Easyshare cameras seem pretty simple.

I thought this was a cute camera. I saw it on the Nikon website in black, too.

You are now making me want a camera, heh.

Do they make digital cameras inside vibrators? She'd probably never lose that one.

And she could consult her gynocologist via e-mail.

I dunno, Demea, if they made a phallic shaped cellphone (since most of them have a vibrate mode) that had super absorbency for those "heavy" days and tasted like chocolate, most women'd never leave the bedroom. The only thing missing would be for it to somehow cuddle and tell her beuatiful she is.

Presto! That'd be the end of the human race.

How did this turn into being about cellphones?
