Big-haired ChristiansFollow

Just curious. When flipping through TV channels you'll invariably arrive, at least transiently, on a Christian channel. Generally you'll find a preacher making far-right Christian comments and getting many 'amens'. Also almost invariably they'll be several women on stage with extremely big hair. Hair that appears to 80's junior high on 'roids.

Is that a Christian thing? A southern thing? A disguise?

What's your take?

My grandmother use to make me watch that lady with the big pink hair and hug fake eyelashes. It was always the same old situation she is there with children in another country and they have flies all over their faces and big swollen bellies.
I think she believes that she helps them in some way but I look at them and see fear. They probably think: Whoa, there is a huge alien thing here and my life just doesn't seem so bad.

Christianity just isn't for me, let alone any other organized religion.

As for southern thing, I was born in Tennessee, sad but true. ;/
All the baptist women had the big hair and tight see-through old lady shirts. ;; They take the "Womans hair is her glory" to the extreme.

Hair burns ungodly fast. You can only hope some of these people pull a Michael Jackson.

And no, I don't mean touching little boys on their innocent places.

Why not? Everyone gets bored and tries it sooner or later, it seems.

Actually, I am affiliated with mlynn, she is my sister. :) Nice work, but I stole her name from a character, I couldnt think of anything. I often read the posts and decided, meh, I might as well chime in.
