For I have made you my home!

The move is complete and Mr. Tare and I have been here a week now. The weather is frickin' awesome. It was 80 yesterday. Beats the hell out of the snow we left behind. However, we saw a roach the size of a baked potato on our deck the other night. Not lovin' that.

Anyway, what's happening around here?

You practised making offensive comments about African Americans yet?

You gots to fit in now!

And what sized Baked Potato? That Roach might have been the size of a teensy-tiny baked potato.

Not sure about NC, but in South Carolina a really bad winter day is when they have to postpone golf until after 11:00 AM because of frost.

My last winter in NC was cold, wet and miserable.... but there was no snow.

No, it doesn't get as cold down here as you guys are used to (obviously), but don't think that winter is going to be a nice, balmy 62 degrees the whole time either. We get our share of below zero temps and ice/snow. Just not as much. Smiley: grin

i live in miami. winter here is like your summer. summer here is like HELL.

congrats on your move. the misses and i might be looking for a summer home there, or tennessee in 7 years when i retire, and the kids are in college. N.C. is a pretty state, but i cant see myself living there for a long period of time. just too cold in the winter for my taste.

You live in Miami, EVERYWHERE is too cold for your taste.

I still chuckle when I'm on the phone with friends down there and they complain if it gets below 65 at night. The horror!
