It would seem so, but not really.
Cell Phones Adopt Ratings for Content

Quote:
The cell phone industry is adopting a rating system for its multimedia services to designate which music, video and gaming products are intended for adults and provide tools for parents to block access to that content.

The ratings and parental tools would not, however, stop youths from using the wireless Internet connections on their mobile phones from accessing public Web sites that feature content and products involving sex, profanity and violence.

So what's the point? You think watching a video girl getting nekkid is more likely to turn your son into a rapist than ogling flesh and blood girls on the interwebs? It just seems like lately so many of our regulations are coming from this twisted, pointless, place where the bark is worse than the bite. I realize that this is being instituted privately and as such is probably meant as more of a selling tool than anything, but still.

Regulations preserve the employment of the regulator. The more regulations, the more people needed to enforce, or maintain them.

With all the rules and regulations already laden on the truck industry, did you know now, its a $1000.00+ fine in the state of New Jersey just for Idling your truck for more than 3 minutes?

Of course this regulation written in the name of "saving the environment", goes for cars as well.

Who do you think will be getting the summons.

Thats right, they FUCK you through the drive through!

Guys?

My ex's uncle had access to google on his cell phone, and we all know how well google image search works.

He told me he gets bored while sitting on the crapper and searches stuff on google at random. He proceeded to demonstraight and amongst the search images of the boobs came up by accident; which of course he claimed that he's happily married and doesn't need ****....

Yeah, ok. Smiley: laugh

I think I barely made sence with that one, but hey, it works.
