wtf? I know it was broken but did you have to get rid of it completely? Now I actually have to find where I put the icon for mIRC.

Sadly enough I never used it. Sounded like fun too.

The IRC server is still up. You just need to take the initative to go to Start -> Programs -> mIRC (or whatever) to access it.
