There was a thread a while back discussing the story of the McDonald's where some guy called pretending to be a cop and had the manager make an 18 year old employee strip due to a supposed theft.

Well, I was watching Monday Night Football last night, and during the schlacking of the Patriots a commercial comes on for Primetime (I think, one of those news shows). Apparently they are doing a bit on that story, and had a clip during the commercial of security footage of the girl sitting on a chair nakked covered in a towel or something, crying.

I just may tune in if for no other reason to see if this girl actually let herself be interviewed for this story. I guess it's that reaction that most of us have now adays, we can't resist watching a train wreck, even if we know it will be bad.

Here's the link to the old thread for reference.

Much like the sun ... you know you shouldn't look but you do anyway. I would be quite curious though, as to how this case ends.

Criminal cases

- David R Stewart: hoax suspect, arrested and charged with solicitation to commit sodomy (felony), impersonating a police officer (felony), soliciting sex abuse (misdemeanor, amusingly), unlawful imprisonment (misdemeanor); trial Dec 13

- Donna Jean Summers: assistant manager, arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment (misdemeanor); charge dismissed, but then reinstated; trial Dec 7

- Walter Wes Nix Jr.: fiancee of Summers, arrested and charged with sodomy (felony) and assault (felony); plead guilty to a felony unlawful imprisonment charge as part of a plea deal; was to be sentenced Nov 2nd but Ogborn (victim) rejected the deal. Reason was the initial plea was an Alford plea - claim innocence, though enough evidence exists to convict. He'd have been given a probationary sentence and not been made to register as a sex offender. The judge ruled in favor of Ogborn (victim) and rejected the plea (her lawyers hadn't told her all the provisions); new trial date set for Dec 13

Civil cases

- Louise Ogborn (female teen victim) vs McDonalds, Summers (asst manager), Dockerty (asst manager), re: failure to warn, train, supervise, probably with a side of false imprisonment, humiliation, mental anguish, etc.

- Summers (manager) vs McDonalds, re: blames McDonalds for the whole thing for not properly warning her

- McDonalds vs Summers (asst manager) and Nix (Summers' fiancee, sodomist), re: blames the two of them for everything. In a complete slimeball move, their court papers blame Ogborn, too -- `saying that her injuries, "if any," were caused by her failure to realize the caller wasn't a real police officer.`

edit: updated Nix's info

Wait, so **** sex is a higher crime then assault(without a deadly weapon)?

Hmmm ... I wonder if licking the purple starfish and maybe lightly tickling it is a crime also ...

It could be felony assault; the article wasn't clear. I'll try to find a better resource.

The assault charge comes from slapping the girl on the ***, upon command from the fake police officer. The sodomy charge apparently comes from forcing her to perform oral.

edit: Looks like felony assault.

`Nix entered an Alford plea, maintaining his innocence while acknowledging there is enough evidence to convict him.

As part of the plea agreement, Mann agreed to drop an assault charge against Nix and to reduce the sodomy count to sexual misconduct, a misdemeanor punishable by up to 12 months in prison. He also raised the unlawful imprisonment charge to a felony, which carries a sentence of one to five years.`

(note; article is from before Oct 11, plea deal was rejected Nov 2, so article is not the most current)

edit 2: Nov 2 article about the plea deal being rejected -

It even invokes Godwin's law by comparing Nix's defense to Nuremburg.

And I bet her daddy told her she'd never make money at McDonalds.
