I have grown up listening to Howard Stern. I admit, I find his banter a bit repetitive in the last few years, and haven't listened in about five.

Sometime in December, he is scheduled to broadcast his last live show. He will then make the move to sirius, which in my opinion, means only a bunch of over the road truckers are actually going to hear him. Smiley: lol

Of course being the media ***** that he is, he's in trouble again for promoting himself.

(1010 WINS) (NEW YORK) Shock jock Howard Stern was suspended from his syndicated show for today after heavily promoting his move to satellite radio.

Love em, or hate em, should be interesting to listen to his last show.

Ehh I can get sick of Howard real quick. I can only listen to tit and ****** jokes for so long before, as you said, becomes repetitive. I will tune in to listen to his last live show on K-ROCK if I am around a radio.

That would be David Lee Roth and in some areas Adam Carolla. I always liked Sterns's show, but I won't be making the switch to Sirius because I already subscribe to XM and I am quite happy with their programming.

Well, apparently he is gonna have quite a few people follow him. At least, taking what I hear with a grain of salt, it sounds that way.

Tons of people calling in talking about how they are making the switch and blah blah blah.

My question is, what will someone of Stern's ummm stature? Do for Sirius as far as suscriber increases....

Be interesting to see. I can only take him in small doses as well, so I won't bother.

I've listened to Howard Stern off and on since he was working at DC-101 in Washington DC (before he moved up to New York and syndication). I enjoy the comedy bits and interviews, but I change the channel when he gets into the grotesque and degrading stuff.

I've thought about checking out satellite radio, but I'm still undecided. It's not that expensive to get hooked up on, so I may give it a try. Unfortunately, here in Baltimore we're getting two guys who I've never heard of. I'll have to see how they do. I don't think I'll be missing much with David Lee Roth, but I wish him well.

I wish we could get Adam Carolla. The Adam Carolla Project on TLC is pretty funny and now that I've got the TiVo, I'll be able to tape his late night show on Comedy Central. I think he's a good replacement for Stern. Hopefully, I'll be able to hear him when we move back to San Francisco next year.

My brother and my father both have Sirius in their truck, my question is whether or not Sirius has an online feature like XM radio and if so maybe I will strong arm my father into letting me use his since he wouldnt never use a computer to listen to music.

Squato. 20,000 people will say they will follow him into the fires of hell. 1,000 of them will actually subscribe to sirius, 800 of those will cancel their subscription after the first month and 5 years from now 35 of those last 200 will actually remember who Stern was.
