I have made a myspace group for organizing the Boston Asylum get together in May. It's at http://groups.myspace.com/AllaSocial for those interested.

I just made it private, so if you want in, just send me a message on myspace.

So make one to be added to our get together forum so that you can have input on plans. It takes all of about 30 seconds.

If you don't join, I'm sure we'll spend far too much time planning what to do to you in Boston, knowing that you can't read it.

Smiley: eek

Why? Are you going to be coming to Boston?

To answer your question: I Wish. By not being welcome, I meant in Boston, not the myspace group. I likely wouldn't be welcome for a few reasons:

1. My age, Though technically an adult, I'm probably at least 3 years younger than anyone who would be going to boston.

2. I assume this would be a gathering for people who have either been posting here for a long time or for people who have made their mark on the asylum. I am neither.

3. You all hate me(or at least most of you do) for being the idiot I was for the entire time I've been posting here except for the past two months.

Seems simple enough. Though I'd have the money, and time to go, I've come to the logical conclusion that I would not be welcome.

I don't care what age you are. Once you're old enough to deal with the consequences of your actions and the random crap life throws at you, I stop calling you a kid except when I want to call you a kid. Most people who make a mark on the Asylum do so by smearing their mental poo on the walls. I'm not sure it's an enviable distinction. I don't hate you. (Hate takes a lot of emotional energy and I just ain't up to it.)

Of course, I have no plans to go to Beantown so it's all small consolation.

Then don't go. No need to stand around, kicking pebbles and saying "Shucks, I'd sure like to go but you all wouldn't like me anyway..."

I've been to gatherings of people from another forum in the past and, by in large, whoever wanted to go, went.

Well, perhaps I will go....maybe....I'll decide at some point in the next couple weeks. I'd rather go, see what happens, have some fun, whatever. It'd be better than sitting at home wishing I had gone.

I'd rather be the guy standing ON the corner as everyone is enjoying themselves than the guy sitting in front of a computer at home thinking "wow...another boring night where my boring friends dont want to do anything...I should have gone to boston".

Just a minor typo.

I'm fairly certain that the majority of those in attendance will be going to a bar for frosty beverages and lewd debauchery(I've got a thing for freakishly tall men with ugly children) all around. On the bright side though, if Twiz comes along y'all could hang out in a video arcade or something.

Maybe we could rent the kids a movie or something in the hotel room.
