But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Well, it doesn't show signs of stopping
But we've got some corn for popping
And the lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I hate going out in the storm
But as long as you hold me tight
Oh, all the way home I'll be warm

The fire is slowly dying
But my dear we're still goodbye-ing
And as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Well the wind is insane here, I know nothing like a hurricane, but crazy none the less. I was even blown over when I took the dog out this morning. I've never experienced being pushed off my feet by a gust of wind before when it wasn't a hurricane.

I just heard reports that the percipitation will not stop for a few more days and that we have the potential for snow tonight and tomorrow.

It's not even Halloween. So this means that the kids have a 90% chance of wearing winter coats over their halloween costumes, ensuring that you have no idea what they are supposed to be Smiley: laugh

For those of you still dressed in shorts, tank tops and other summery clothing articles, I hate you all.Smiley: tongue

I just bought a sweet sword and shield. If anyone tries to get in my way on halloween, they are getting bashed right in the f'n face. My bash skill is really high.

You should tell that to the wind.

My friend, his wife, their four year old daughter and I are all going as full on bodysuit zombies this year.
She ought to be warm enough I think. Costumes were spensive as hell though. I even get to wear a priest getup over it.
How appropriate.

My Neck of the Woods

It is nasty out here. 50mph gusts for the past 2 days and more to be expected. Id rather have snow then 45 degree rain.

Everytime I hear that song now, I think of Lethal Weapon.

Damn you Riggs!

Giving little boys candy so you can touch them in their special place hardly makes wearing a priest "getup" appropriate. Fitting perhaps.

Damn you Riggs!

Wasn't it Die Hard in which it was featured prominently?

Die Hard 1 and 2 were both set at Christmas.

It's pretty nice in Tallahassee right now but I'm moving back to Arkansas in 2 months. Arkansas winter probably doesn't seem cold to you guys from more up north but I hated it even when i was used to it.

Maybe so, but the original Lethal Weapon was as well. Remember the scene in the Christmas tree lot?

/nod I miss So Cal. Central Cali is definitely not So Cal. I didn't even know what a thermostat was until I left San Diego.

High of 69 low of 51 here in the Silicon Valley. Chance of a shower or two over the next to days but clears skies after that for a week and a half.

Still don't espect too see many Trick or Treaters they seem to be getting fewer and fewer each year. <shrug> More candy for me.

In TN in the mountains, they got snow flurries yesterday. It's dropped off a lot here. From the 80's last week to the 50's this week. We had no fall. But that's kind of typical for here. But I kind of like it. I enjoy cold weather up until about new years. Then it can warm back up. Smiley: lol

I also love weather extremes, and huge gusts of wind fall in that category.

When I hear that song, I want to bang that blonde wench in the movie Elf. Was it Reese Witherspoon? I dunno, but the shower scene was hot stuff. Smiley: sly

Holy shit! We just got our first snow day of the year! Last night it snowed a little bit, but not enough to really make the roads difficult to travel. Power might be out in places, as we've lost our cable connection. Also, we lost power for a brief period last night, though I don't think it was really that windy out.

I'll be enjoying my day off. Smiley: tongue

We don't have snow, but yesterday morning my daughter ran outside to see if she needed a jacket. (yes she did, but being she's a *big girl* now, she had to check for herself) Then starts screaming, "Mom, comere!" I keep asking her what, and she insists that I come and see. Finally she exclaims, "Mom, snow!!!!!!!"

Twasn't snow, just frost on the ground, but it sure was damn cute of her.

we have snow now. It's not much and I'm sure it will be gone by this afternoon. But my son woke us up at 6 am excitedly screaming about the snow. How he could see it is beyond me as it was still dark out. He brought in his jacket scarf and slippers and pleaded to go out and play. Bless my husband for being such a trooper. He took our son out and left me the warm blankets for awhile.

Wow snow Smiley: yippee
Any plant/flower in the yard that survived the 3 weeks of rain and wind; got spanked last night with frost. 38 I think it was when I woke up. I think the part of me that has been holding onto summer/early fall is letting go and accepting the fate of winter. Looks like its time to put away the shorts and flip-flops Smiley: cry
