Are the spoilers "It sucks"?

You're a mod. Have someone teach you the secret of spoiler tags

Edited because I can code spoiler tags properly, but I can't figure out how to spell "it"

I heard that the "first person shooter" camera that they have been hyping up is only in the movie for about 5 minutes. Is this true? I will see it regardless, but thought that this was a cool aspect of the movie.

True dat.

Of course, I won't be seeing it until it's off the New Releases rack at the video shack.

Yes there is some fps in there, and yeah 5 mins or so. But much more than that would have killed the movie, it got old quick. Was much like watching someone play instead of watching a movie. I didn't know it would be there and was quite impressed by it not looking to "gamish."

How about this, you ask q's I give answers?

My buddy and I talked about it, and both agreed that if they kept the "first person shooter" camera angle to a minimum, it would be a cool aspect. So if it was only in there for about 5 minutes that sounds about right.

I have played Doom3, and I love it. Never played Doom 1 or 2. I really enjoyed the movie. I honestly thought there would be more "oh ****" moments, but oh well.

I never jumped once, and laughed my butt off when someone screamed at one point. I thought it was hilarious, the gorey part there.

Hey NightShadow! Good to see ya again!

on topic: I'm glad they kept the first person view to a minimum. I figured it would be a god way to draw into the action for short spurts at a time. Its good to hear they didnt overkill it.

CNN/Entertainment Weekly gave it a C+. I've misplaced my "Star to Letter Grade" conversion table but I'd assume that's 2.5-3 stars on a 5 star scale.

If you liked Doom3 make sure to pick up Quake 4. Really.

I think it'll be worth it to see the Rock kick some random alien ***.

Darkflame, spoilers would be good. Here's what i'd do, Creat new a thread, nuke the thread, then link to that thread from here and put the spoilers in there, with a big red bold [SPOILERS AHEAD] thingy.

I'm actually looking forward to this movie. Sure, it's not gonna win any awards, but looks like a good cheesy action flick. I'm an old school Doom/Doom2 player so it'll be fun. Also I really like The Rock.

I've yet to play Doom3 or Quake4 (didn't even know that was coming?) and may just pick them up if I can.

I'm at a friend's house moments away from running off to go see it, actually.

I expect this movie to bomb to holy hell, so when I go see it, I could only be impressed instead of dissapointed. Smiley: grin
