Not what I expected...

With the Cows and pigs, does that take into account possible contaminated meat? or do people actually get mauled by pigs and cows?

That actually goes for all the partial deaths.

5.2 deaths from birds? Assuming that doesn't count eating bad chicken, the only thing I can think of are mishaps on the ostrich/emu ranch.

This is why you don't fuck with a Hog.

I'm surprised that Alligators didn't get up there. At least an honorable mention, look at how mean and nasty they look. Would you be more scared of an Alligator or a Cow?
Some Website wrote:
However, alligators do occasionally attack people. There have been 14 reported fatal alligator attacks on people in Florida since the 1950s, and 15 to 20 non-fatal alligator attacks occur in Florida each year, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Most alligator attacks on people seem to take place while people are in the water.

That's just 0.254 deaths/year. Alligators are slacking - you can't rely purely on image, outside of the entertainment industry.

The obvious solution here is to place a horse, deer, cow, dog, insect, bird, elephant, tiger, hog and python in a pit and see who comes out standing.

TEN ANIMALS ENTER -- ONE ANIMAL LEAVES!!!

Well the Elephant and Tiger be a hell of a match up. The Bird and Insect is a little one sided. The Cow and Horse battle; put my money down on Betsy.

I'm guessing with the cows, but probably by getting kicked by one. I've heard of instances where a crusty old farmer ends up getting kicked in the head by a milk cow while he's milking her. That would do it.

Pigs will eat anything. I heard a story once, which may or may not be true, about a kid playing next to a pig pen, he was walking on the fence and fell off and hit his head knocking him unconscious. The pigs then preceeded to eat him.

Or it could just be super-intelligent farm animals taking over the world. They've been plotting it for years, you can see it in their eyes. Sneaky bastards.

Hiyas, new to the neighborhood.

I like the 10 in 1 out concept, however my ex MIL should be included somewhere in there. ;-)

Unfortunately, she'd most likely be the one out.

You'd be surprised how nasty angry birds can get. **** off a mother bird, get too close to the nest, she'll fly at you, tear at you with claws, try to peck out your eyes, all sorts of good stuff.

I'm actually surprised poisonous spiders aren't on the list. I know I've heard of someone getting killed by a black widow in Florida. Unless they're included in the insects category... but since they're not insects, that doesn't seem possible.

Horses deserve to be number 1... Afterall, they're the animal that killed Superman. Smiley: smile

Thats wrong, the #1 deadliest animal in America is the Human being.
#20 Oct 22 2005 at 10:48 PM Rating: Decent
I dont know if you can consider "insects" as "animals", seeing how there is a vast amount of "insect" species.

But yeah, those .5 deaths a year from the python really make it top 10 material

There's a vast number of species in the Poaceae family, but no one argues that wheat isn't really a plant Smiley: dubious

Passivity 4tehWIN!

To bad there are no stats along with this. I bet most, excepting horse deaths, are car accidents. Suprised moose are in there - they kill off Mainers all the time.

On a more up-to-date note; My washer just **** the bed. Not sure if that makes me happy or sad.

Pigs are dangerous animals, unless tamed.
