that seem to post here at the end of every week are beginning to sap my enthusiasm. I don't mind dredging through the normal assclown meanderings to find the witty gems that are sprinkled so liberally in many of the threads, but there's something annoying about seeing 40 posts from hiionlyhave12chromosomesclickthislinklol!11! with zero substance. I don't particularly blame the drooling idiots for my annoyance; I know the world is full of drooling idiots. I just need a break from them.
I'm gonna absent myself from the Asylum on Thursday PM through Monday every week, methinks. Frankly, I don't like using the filter and I'm too lazy to create an army of ratebots anyway. So a weekend pass sounds like just the ticket.

Once upon a time, I thought that if I used the filter I'd be cheating myself out of the full flavor of the forums. I was wrong and you don't miss anything. Stuff that's sub-default is sub-default for good reason.

That wasn't always the case.
And you miss what's being zinged on.
Meh. I've spent time on both sides of the fence since I spent the first year or so set on "No Filter". The Default side is better.
